What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF 
WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
A308 KING STREET, A308 GRENFELL ROAD 
& SHOPPENHANGERS ROAD (PART), 
MAIDENHEAD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION 
OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along 
along northbound part of A308 King Street and 
A308 Grenfell Road for their entire lengths and 
along that part of westbound Shoppenhangers Road from its junction with Courtlands to its junction with A308 Kings Road. 

The proposed Order will come into operation 
each night between 21.00hrs and 05.00hrs from Tuesday 20 August until Friday 23 August 2024. 

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the proposed Order will be via the A308 Braywick Road, A308 Windsor Road, A308 Maidenhead Road, A332 Royal Windsor Way, A355 Tuns Lane, A4 Bath Road, A4 Bridge Road, A4 St Clouds Way, A4 Bad Godesberg Way and A308 Frascati Way. 

The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate renewal and rest of pit frames and covers and as a result there is the likelihood of danger to the public.
