A444 High Cross - Temporary Road Closure To Facilitate Cyclic Highway Maintenance Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE A444 HIGH CROSS, CASTLE GRESLEY
WHEN: 01 August to 02 August 2024 (20:00 to 04:00)
WHERE: A444 High Cross, Castle Gresley from its Jct. with High Cross Bank Roundabout to its roundabout Jct. with A444 Burton Road.
REASON: To facilitate cyclic highway maintenance works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A444 Burton Road, Main Street, Acresford Road, Burton Road, Appleby Magna Interchange. Continue on A42; A42 Flagstaff Island; Continue on A511, Ashby Road, High Street; A514 Swadlincote Road, Derby Road, Civic Way, William Nadin Way, Cadley Hill Road, A444 Burton Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
