What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
GEORGE STREET, WEST STREET & CHURCH STREET, RIDDINGS

WHEN: 19 August to 14 October 2024 (for no more than 5 individual days between these dates).
WHERE:
1. George Street, Riddings between its Jct. with South Street and its Jct. with West Street.
2. West Street / Church Street Riddings between its Jct. with Greenhill Lane and its Jct. with Bradshaw Avenue.
REASON: To facilitate micro asphalt carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
1 - West Street, Greenhill Lane, South Street and vice versa.
2. Bradshaw Avenue, High Street, South Street, Greenhill Lane and vice versa
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
