A1068 ELLINGTON TO WIDDRINGTON, WIDDRINGTON VILLAGE/
A1068 POTLAND TO ELLINGTON, ELLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in the County of Northumberland.
A1068 Ellington To Widdrington from its junction with the B1337 to its junction with C122 for a length of 3800 metres.
A1068 Potland to Ellington for its entire length.
The Order is to be effective from the 27th August 2024 until the 26th February 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 27th August 2024 until the 31st August 2024 between the hours of 21:00 hours and 06:00 hours during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 26th February 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B1337, C125 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to complete white lining works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
