What is happening?

The Renfrewshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of The Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby gives notice that, because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads, no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven or cause or permit any vehicle (except works vehicles) to wait or load on the following length of road in the town of Houston in the Unitary Authority of Renfrewshire:
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
Killallan Road, Houston
Killallan Road, Houston – From Houston Road, Kilmacolm, Inverclyde to the junction of Corsliehill Road.
Reason for Restriction: Openreach Works
Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area. Emergency access will be maintained. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.
Alternative Routes: Killallan Road, Warlock Road, Houston Road, Kilmacolm Road, Bridge Of Weir Road, Houston Road and vice versa.
This notice will be in force from Thursday 01st August 2024 until Tuesday 31st August 2024.
This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
Newmains Road, Renfrew
Newmains Road, Renfrew – From junction of Sandy Road to 71 Newmains Road
Reason for Restriction: Carriageway Resurfacing
Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area. Emergency access will be maintained. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.
Alternative Routes: Newmains Road, Broadloan, Sandy Road and vice versa.
This notice will be in force from Friday 9th August 2024 until Thursday 15th August 2024.
This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
Main Road, Elderslie
Main Road, Elderslie – From the junction of Wallace Avenue to 82 Main Road
Reason for Restriction: Resurfacing Works
Additional Information Added 25/07/2024 – Scottish Water will also be completing repair works under this road closure from 25/07/2024 – 29/07/2024.
Vehicles left on the road in contravention of this Notice will be moved out of the works area. Emergency access will be maintained. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.
Alternative Routes: Main Road, Linwood Road, Kashmir Avenue, Bridge Of Weir Road, Barochan Road, High Street, Main Road and vice versa.
This notice will be in force from Monday 22nd July 2024 until Thursday 15th August 2024.
This notice will only be effective when so displayed by signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions 2016.
