Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

A444 GRIFF WAY AND BEDWORTH BYPASS NUNEATON
Effect of Order: A 30 mph Speed Restriction will be imposed as indicated below:

A444 Griff Way – North and Southbound carriageways between Eliot Way Island (George Eliot Hospital) and Griff Island (A444 Coventry Road).

A444 Griff Island (A444 Coventry Road) – In its entirety.

A444 Bedworth Bypass – North & Southbound carriageways between Griff Island (A444 Coventry Road) and Walsingham Drive Roundabout.

Reason for Order: For the safety of all road users and of the contractors working on carriageway resurfacing and associated works. The speed restriction will be in force 24hrs daily until works are completed.

Order Effective from: 8 August 2024 for up to 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

Anticipated Completion Date: 8 September 2024.

CONWY CLOSE, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to renew boundary box and meter.
Order Commences: 7 August 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 9 August 2024.
Access & Diversion: No diversion available.
Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

A444 GRIFF WAY AND BEDWORTH BYPASS & ST DAVIDS WAY, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic in phases as follows: A444 Griff Way – Phase 1 Northbound – Griff Island to George Eliot Hospital Island and D1588 St. Davids Way, Nuneaton 8/8/24 (20.00hrs) – 18/8/24 (06.00 hrs). Phase 2 Southbound – George Eliot Hospital Island to Griff Island – 18/8/24 (20.00hrs) – 26/8/24 (06.00hrs).

A444 Bedworth Bypass – Phase 1 Southbound – Griff Island to Walsingham Drive Island – 27/8/24 (20.00 hrs) – 2/9/24 (06.00 hrs. Phase 2 Northbound – Walsingham Drive Island to Griff Island – 2/9/24 (2000 hrs) – 8/9/24 (06.00 hrs).

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing and associated works, overnight 20.00hrs-06.00hrs.

Order Commences: 8 August 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 8 September 2024.

Access & Diversions: Griff Way (Northbound) – A444 Griff Island, B4113 Coventry Road, A444 Coton Road Island and back onto A444 Southbound.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

BOND STREET, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to replace damaged gas box.
Order Commences: 18 August 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 18 August 2024.
Access & Diversion: Bond Street, Newtown Road.
Contractor: Headway Traffic Management, Tel: 01564 820 118.

D1371 CHASE CLOSE, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed from Higham Lane.
Reason for Order: Surface dressing works, closed 08.00hrs- 17.00hrs.
Order Commences: 22 August 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 August 2024.
Access & Diversion: No suitable diversion. Access/Egress to be maintained where possible to businesses and residents only.
Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
