Narborough Road - Temporary Restrictions Due To Carriageway Resurfacing Works Taking Place

THE LEICESTER (NARBOROUGH ROAD) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Phase “A”:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Narborough Road in a north-east bound direction between its junctions with Somerville Road and with Winchester Avenue from 6.00am on Saturday 3rd August 2024 until 11.59pm on Saturday 10th August 2024.
Diversion route: Braunstone Lane, Hinckley Road, King Richards Road, Narborough Road.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Fullhurst Avenue between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Fosse Road South from 6.00am on Saturday 3rd August 2024 until 11.59pm on Saturday 10th August 2024.
Diversion route: Gooding Avenue, Braunstone Avenue, Wyngate Drive, Hinckley Road, King Richards Road.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles from 6.00am on Saturday 3rd August 2024 until 11.59pm on Saturday 10th August 2024 on the following sections of highway and extents:
Hallam Crescent East between its junctions with Fullhurst Avenue and with Ellesmere Road
Harlaxton Street between its junction with Narborough Road and a point 30 metres west thereof
Winton Avenue between its junction with Narborough Road and a point 30 metres west thereof
Imperial Avenue between its junction with Narborough Road and a point 30 metres west thereof

Phase “B”
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Narborough Road in a south-west bound direction between its junctions with Somerville Road and with Winchester Avenue from 6.00am on Saturday 10th August 2024 until 11.59pm on Saturday 17th August 2024.
Diversion route: Narborough Road, King Richards Road, Hinckley Road, Braunstone Lane.
Prohibit right turn movement from Fullhurst Avenue into Narborough Road from 6.00am on Saturday 10th August 2024 until 11.59pm on Saturday 17th August 2024.
Diversion route: Narborough Road, King Richards Road, Hinckley Road, Braunstone Lane.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles from 6.00am on Saturday 10th August 2024 until 11.59pm on Saturday 17th August 2024 on the following sections of highway and extents:
Evesham Road between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Roundhay Road
Haddenham Road between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Compton Road
Hopefield Road between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Compton Road
Mountcastle Road between its junction with Narborough Road and a point 30 metres east thereof
Wolverton Road between its junction with Narborough Road and a point 30 metres east thereof
Danvers Road between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Compton Road
Suspend the existing one-way restrictions from 6.00am on Saturday 10th August 2024 until 11.59pm on Saturday 17th August 2024 on the following sections of highway and extents:
Haddenham Road between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Compton Road
Hopefield Road between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Compton Road
Danvers Road between its junctions with Narborough Road and with Compton Road

This order is necessary due to carriageway resurfacing works taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.

This Order will come into effect on the 3rd August 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
