What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BRIAR WAY AND CHESTNUT DRIVE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Briar Way, Berkhamsted from its junction with Chestnut Drive south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Woodlands Avenue, a distance of approximately 278m.
An alternative route will be via Hazel Road and Woodlands Avenue.
2. that length of Chestnut Drive, Berkhamsted from its junction with Briar Way south eastwards to its junction with Swing Gate Lane, a distance of approximately 148m.
An alternative route will be via Hazel Road, Woodlands Avenue and Swing Gate Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4251 LONDON ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the Fishery Road roundabout south westwards to its junction with Felden Lane, a distance of approximately 355m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, A41 (Two Waters Way/ unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERKHAMSTED PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.037 AND BERKHAMSTED PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.023) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of public footpath (“the Public Footpaths”):1. Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.037 from its junction with Bridle Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 58m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this Public Footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. 2. Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.023 from its junction with Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.037 north eastwards to its junction with Bridle Way, a distance of approximately 43m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this Public Footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpaths.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN KINGS LANGLEY, POTTEN END AND CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:
1. that length of Barnes Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Rucklers Lane south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Common Lane, a distance of approximately 2309m.
An alternative route will be via Rucklers Lane, A4251 Hempstead Road and Common Lane.
2. that length of Bullbeggars Lane, Potten End from its junction with Little Heath Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 1120m.
An alternative route will be via Bullbeggars Lane, The Common, Gravel Path, Ravens Lane, A4251 (High Street/London Road) and Bullbeggars Lane.
3. that length of Bullbeggars Lane, Potten End from its junction with The Common south eastwards to its junction with Little Heath Lane, a distance of approximately 655m.
An alternative route will be via The Common, Gravel Path, Ravens Lane, A4251 (High Street/London Road) and Bullbeggars Lane.
4. that length of Scatterdells Lane, Chipperfield from its junction with Tower Hill north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF AUSTINS PLACE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Austins Place, Hemel Hempstead from a point 79m north east of its junction with High Street north eastwards to its junction with Herbert Street, a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Austins Place, Figtree Hill, George Street, Allandale, Herbert Street, St Marys Road and Herbert Street. The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN LITTLE GADDESDEN, GREAT GADDESDEN, STUDHAM AND DAGNALL) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Hudnall Lane, Little Gaddesden from its junction with B440 Dagnall Road south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Little Gaddesden Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.009, a distance of approximately 952m.
An alternative route will be via Pedley Hill, Clements End Road, South Dene, Gaddesden Row, Ledgemore Lane, Pipers Hill, Nettleden Road and Nettleden Road North.
2. that length of B440 Dagnall Road, Great Gaddesden from its junction with B4506 Ringshall Road south eastwards to its junction with Bradden Lane, a distance of approximately 1779m.
An alternative route will be via B440 (Main Road South/Hemel Hempstead Road), B4506 (Ringshall Road/New Road), A4251 (High Street/London Road), A4146 (Station Road/ Leighton Buzzard Road) and B440 Leighton Buzzard Road.
AND NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council, acting as agents for and with the consent of the Bedfordshire County Council, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
a) that length of Pedley Hill, Studham from its junction with Clements End Road south westwards to its junction with B440 Dagnall Road, a distance of approximately 2170m.
An alternative route will be via Clements End Road, South Dene, Gaddesden Row, Ledgemore Lane, Pipers Hill, Nettleden Road, Nettleden Road North and Hudnall Lane.
b) that length of B440 (Main Road South/Hemel Hempstead Road), Dagnall from its junction with B4506 Ringshall Road south eastwards to its junction with Hudnall Lane, a distance of approximately 3843m. An alternative route will be via B4506 (Ringshall Road/New Road), A4251 (High Street/ London Road), A4146 (Station Road/Leighton Buzzard Road) and B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Dagnall Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FLAUNDEN HILL, FLAUNDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Flaunden Hill, Flaunden from its junction with Birch Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 150m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Birch Lane, Bragmans Lane, Chenies Hill, Chenies, Latimer Road, Latimer Bottom, The Village, Flaunden Bottom and Flaunden Hill.
The Order is needed because sewer connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BOXWELL ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Boxwell Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Charles Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 62m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Charles Street, Kitsbury Road, A4125 High Street and Boxwell Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chesham Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Berkhamsted Public Footpath No.007 south westwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Chesham Road, A4251 High Street, A416 (Kings Road/ Kingshill Way) and Chesham Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of B486 (Wingrave Road/New Mill Terrace/Wingrave Road/ Brook Street), Tring from its junction with B488 Icknield Way south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with B4635 High Street, a distance of approximately 1471m.
An alternative route will be via B488 Icknield Way and B4635 (Aylesbury Road/ Western Road/High Street).
2. that length of Dundale Road/Frogmore Street, Tring from its junction with B488 Icknield Way south eastwards to its junction with B4635 High Street, a distance of approximately 944m.
An alternative route will be via B488 Icknield Way, B486 (Wingrave Road/ New Mill Terrace/Wingrave Road/Brook Street) and B4635 High Street.
3. that length of Grove Road, Tring from its junction with B486 New Mill Terrace south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 1262m. An alternative route will be via B486 (New Mill Terrace/Wingrave Road/ Brook Street), B4635 London Road and Station Road.
4. that length of Manor Road/Bettys Lane/Silk Mill Way, Tring from its junction with Dundale Road north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with B486 Wingrave Road, a distance of approximately 1095m.
An alternative route will be via Dundale Road, B488 Icknield Way and B486 (Wingrave Road/New Mill Terrace/Wingrave Road) or via Dundale Road, Frogmore Street, B4635 High Street and B486 (Brook Street/ Wingrave Road).
5. that length of Tringford Road, Tring from its junction with B488 Icknield Way north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with the B489 Lower Icknield Way/Wingrave Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1209 m.
An alternative route will be via B488 Icknield Way, The Holloway and B489 Lower Icknield Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4251 HEMPSTEAD ROAD, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4251 Hempstead Road, Kings Langley from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.103 Hempstead Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 480m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via A4251 (Hempstead Road/High Street/Watford Road), A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Way), A4251 London Road, A416 Station Road, A414 (Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way) and A4251 (London Road/Hempstead Road) or via A4251 (Hempstead Road/London Road), A416 Station Road, A414 (Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way), A41 (Two Waters Way/ unnamed road) and A4251 (Watford Road/High Street/Hempstead Road). The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Duxons Turn, Hemel Hempstead from a point 30m south west of its southernmost junction with A4147 Maylands Avenue south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Duxons Turn, A4147 Maylands Avenue and Duxons Turn.
The Order is needed because cabling works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN FOX ROAD, WIGGINTON) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fox Road, Wigginton from its junction with The Twist south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Vicarage Road, a distance of approximately 865m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via The Twist and Vicarage Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Tower Hill, Chipperfield from its junction with Dunny Lane north westwards to its junction with Scatterdells Lane, a distance of approximately 443 m.
An alternative route will be via Chapel Croft, Langley Road, Chipperfield Road, Vicarage Lane, A4251 (Hempstead Road/London Road), B4505 (Box Lane/ Hempstead Road), High Street, Chipperfield Road and Tower Hill.
2. that length of Chapel Croft, Chipperfield from its junction with Tower Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 74 m.
An alternative route will be via Tower Hill, Chipperfield Road, High Street, B4505 (Hempstead Road/Box Lane), A4251 (London Road/Hempstead Road), Vicarage Lane, Chipperfield Road, Langley Road and Chapel Croft.
3. that length of Dunny Lane, Chipperfield from its junction with Tower Hill south westwards for a distance of approximately 111 m.
An alternative route will be via The Street, The Common, Windmill Hill and Dunny Lane.
4. that length of The Street, Chipperfield from its junction with Dunny Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 75 m.
An alternative route will be via Dunny Lane, Windmill Hill, The Common and The Street.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
