What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY ALDENHAM 13 & FOOTPATH ALDENHAM 17

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Aldenham 13 & Footpath Aldenham 17, for an approximate distance of 120 & 90m.

Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network

The purpose of the Order is to enable pylon works to take place.

The section of Bridleway Aldenham 13 & Footpath Aldenham 17 will be closed on or after 09 August 2024 for up to 5 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE HAREBREAKS, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Harebreaks, Watford from its junction with Middle Way north westwards to its junction with Chestnut Walk, a distance of approximately 290m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Middle Way, Fuller Road and Chestnut Walk.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NEWARK GREEN, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newark Green, Borehamwood from its junction with A5135 Rowley Lane north westwards to its junction with Chester Road, a distance of approximately 166 m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via A5135 (Rowley Lane/Elstree Way), Warwick Road and Chester Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUSHEY PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.040) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all equestrian users, pedal cycles and pedestrians from using Bushey Public Bridleway and Public Footpath No.040 from its junction with Bushey Public Bridleway No.051 north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 151m ("the Public Bridleway and Public Footpath").

An alternative route will be via Bushey Public Bridleway No.051, Hilfield Lane South, A411 Elstree Way and A41 Tylers Way.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing bridge parapet is proposed to be executed on or near the Public Bridleway and Public Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Bridleway and Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HYDE LANE, NASH MILLS) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hyde Lane, Nash Mills from its junction with Woodlands Road south westwards to its junction with Lower Road, a distance of approximately 43m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Hyde Lane, Bedmond Road, Bunkers Lane and Lower Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN MERRY HILL ROAD, BUSHEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Merry Hill Road, Bushey from its junction with A411 London Road southwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A411 Sparrows Herne, a distance of approximately 2146m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via A411 (London Road/High Street/ Sparrows Herne).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.40 AND NO.50 KENILWORTH DRIVE, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.40 and No.50 Kenilworth Drive, Borehamwood from its junction with Kenilworth Drive south westwards to its junction with Buckhingham Road, a distance of approximately 78m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Kenilworth Drive, the footway situated on the east side of Norfolk Gardens and the footway situated on the north side of Buckingham Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HILFIELD LANE, ALDENHAM) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hilfield Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Bushey Public Footpath No.007 south eastwards for a distance of approximately 32m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Hilfield Lane, B462 Hartspring Lane, A41 Elton Way, Sandy Lane and Hilfield Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CLARENDON ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER NO.4 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the northbound carriageway of Clarendon Road, Watford from a point 32m south eastwards of its junction with Woodford Road north westwards to its junction with Woodford Road, a distance of approximately 32m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Clarendon Road, A411 (Exchange Road/ Beechen Grove/Exchange Road), A412 St Albans Road, Station Road and Clarendon Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GOSFORTH LANE, HAYLING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gosforth Lane, Hayling from a point in line with the western boundary of No.152 Gosforth Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 86m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Gosforth Lane, Hayling Road, B4542 Prestwick Road, Oxhey Drive and Gosforth Lane.

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 31 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GAMMONS LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gammons Lane, Watford from its junction with Howard Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 168m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Gammons Lane, Leggatts Way, The Harebreaks, Longspring and Gammons Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE BUS/CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF A412

ST ALBANS ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all public service vehicles and pedal cycles from using the bus/cycle lane situated on the east side of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from a point 242m south west of its junction with Brixton Road south westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 294m ("the Bus/Cycle Lane").

An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road.

The definition of a 'public service vehicle' has the same meaning as in Section 1 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981. The definition of a 'pedal cycle' means a cycle powered only by foot or hand.

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Bus/Cycle Lane. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CARDIFF ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cardiff Road, Watford from its junction with Yellow Brick Road north eastwards to its junction with St James Road, a distance of approximately 162m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES IN WATFORD) ORDER NO.3 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads, except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

a) that length of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from its junction with the A41 The Dome roundabout south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the A411 Beechen Grove/A411 Hempstead Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 2395m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), A4008 Stephenson Way and A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove) or via A411 Beechen Grove, A4008 Stephenson Way and A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/ North Western Avenue).

b) that length of Cecil Street, Watford from its junction with Leavesden Road south eastwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 370m.

An alternative route will be via Leavesden Road, Judge Street and A412 St Albans Road.

c) that length of Yarmouth Road, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road south eastwards to its junction with Bradshaw Road, a distance of approximately 171m.

An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, Salisbury Road and Bradshaw Road.

2. The existing prohibition of right turn from the northbound carriageway of A412 St Albans Road into Balmoral Road, Watford will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to make this movement whilst works are in progress.

3. The existing one way traffic systems on the following lengths of Roads will temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within these lengths of roads, whilst works are in place:-

a) that length of Judge Street, Watford from its junction with Leavesden Road south eastwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 428m.

b) that length of Cecil Street, Watford from its junction with Leavesden Road south eastwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 370m.

c) that length of Regent Street, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road north westwards to its junction with Leavesden Road, a distance of approximately 294m.

d) that length of Salisbury Road, Watford from its junction with Bradshaw Road north westwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 165m.

e) that length of Yarmouth Road, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road south eastwards to its junction with Bradshaw Road, a distance of approximately 171m.

f) that length of Windsor Road, Watford from its junction with Sandringham Road south westwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 70m.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK/FOOTPATH SITUATED TO THE REAR OF NOS.1 AND 3 RADLETT ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles/pedestrians from using the cycle track/footpath situated to the rear of No.1 and No.3 Radlett Road, Watford from its junction with Link Road south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Watford Borough Public Footpath No.037, a distance of approximately 706m ("the Cycle Track/Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Link Road, the footway situated on the east side of Radlett Road, the footway situated on the north east side of Ebury Road, the footway situated on the east side of Shaftesbury Road, Watford Borough Public Footpath No.038 and Watford Borough Public Footpath No.037.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.
