What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING

HIGH STREET, LEIGHTON BUZZARD

PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

On 23rd July 2024 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To amend the timings of the Prohibition of Driving on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 24 hours to between 3:30am and 6:30pm on the following lengths of road in Leighton Buzzard:1.  High Street, full length

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Prohibition of Driving) (High Street, Leighton Buzzard) Order 2024

Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 6th August 2024. Details will be provided on request by e-mailing highways.consultation@ centralbedfordshire.gov.uk.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 23rd July 2024, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
