ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (AMENDMENT No. **) ORDER 202*

POWDER MILL LANE, WHITTON

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to replace footway parking in Powder Mill Lane on either side off the junction with Arden Close, and relocate the parking to the opposite side of the road, creating one additional parking place in trat location.

3. Copies of the proposed Orders, plans showing the location and effect of the proposals and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order: -

(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 24/133, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

4. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 28 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. Representations may also be sent by email to Trafficorders@richmond.gov.uk.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 16A

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (SPECIAL EVENTS) HIGH TIDE FESTIVAL) ORDER 2024

ARRAGON ROAD AND CHURCH STREET, TWICKENHAM

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames hereby gives notice that on 22 July 2024 they made the above-named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order is to facilitate the holding of a music festival in Twickenham.

3. From 9am until 11.59pm on Sunday 28 July 2024,

(a) no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Arragon Road between its junctions with York Street and Church Street.

(b) no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in Church Street between its junctions with Water Lane and Arragon Road.

(c) Church Lane Car Park will be closed all day.

(d) York House Car Park will be closed all day.

4. A signed diversion route for traffic affected by the closures will be available in adjacent streets.

5. Nothing in this Order will apply to:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable, Police Community Support Officer or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

(b) any vehicle being used by a statutory undertaker, whereby it is necessary by reason of an emergency, for that vehicle to have access to part of the street under restriction.

6. The prohibitions or restrictions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Parking Restrictions High Street, Hampton Hill & Various Road.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecom works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will

be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in High Street, Hampton and Various Road.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in the roads detailed in the schedule, between the dates indicated. The restrictions will operate on a rolling basis unless otherwise stated.

3. The order will come into effect on 29 July 2024. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 29 July 2024 until 18 August 2024. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Bus Lane Suspension Richmond Road, Twickenham.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecom works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of traffic in Richmond Road, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works take place, the bus lane in Richmond Road from a point outside number 62 in a westwards direction for approximately 35 metres shall be suspended the effect being that vehicular traffic shall be permitted to proceed in that length of bus lane.

3. The order will come into effect on 06 August 2024, the works are anticipated to be in progress from 9.30 to 15.30 on 06 August 2024 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution o1 the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Cycle Lane Suspension Strawberry Vale, Twickenham

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas alteration works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of traffic in London Road, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works take place the cycle lane in Strawberry Vale, Twickenham shall be suspended from outside numbers 105 to 109.

3. The order will come into effect 05 August 2024. The works are anticipated to be in progress on 08 August 2024 the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution o1 the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
