NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
New Barns Avenue, Ely
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-968
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Barns Avenue, Ely as lies between number 65 and 212 (including side roads).
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 January 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 August and 29 August 2024.
Sandhill, Littleport
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1029
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sandhill, Littleport as lies between Willetts Caravans and Victoria Street.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage improvements and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 5 August to 9 August 2024.
Broad Piece, Soham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1030
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broad Piece, Soham as lies between numbers 10 and 17.
The alternative route for vehicles is via The Cotes – Blockmoor Road – Barway Road – A142 – The Shade – Townsend – Julius Martin Lane – Mereside and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August to 9 August 2024.
Slit Road, Littleport
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1041
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Slit Road, Littleport as lies between numbers 16 and 20.
The alternative route for vehicles is via New Road – Ponts Hill – The Hythe – Quay Hill – Slit Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 August to 15 August 2024.
Isleham Road, Fordham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1054
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Isleham Road, Fordham as lies between number 14 and Fordham Footpath 5.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1102 – B1104 – Fordham Road, Isleham – Isleham Road, Fordham and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 5 August 2024.
Station Road (B1102), Ely
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1055
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road (B1102), Ely as lies between number 77 and Fordham Bypass.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A142 – A1123 – A10 – A14 – B1102 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 August and 16 August 2024.
High Street, Ely
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1069
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Ely as lies between Market Place and Minster Place.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Minster Place – The Gallery – Back Hill (C317) – Broad Street – Forehill (C140).
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 6 August 2024.
Littleport Byway 30, Littleport
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1074
Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian and equestrian from proceeding along Littleport Byway 30, Littleport as lies between 20m either side of the level crossing.
The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 February 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 24 August and 13 September 2024.
Station Road (A1421), Haddenham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1076
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road (A1421), Haddenham as lies between Ely Way and The Pond.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1421 – A1123 – A10 – A142 – A1421 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19 August and 23 August 2024.
Soham Bypass (A142), Soham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1102
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Soham Bypass (A142), Soham as lies between Fordham Bypass and East Fen Drove.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A142 – A10 – A1123 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate crash barrier repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 21 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 20 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 05:00hrs 21 August and 24 August 2024.
Station Road, Fordham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1107
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Fordham as lies between number 16 and Azalea Avenue.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1102 – Soham Road – Fordham Road (C145), Soham – A142 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate development and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19 August and 30 September 2024.
Station Road, Isleham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1118
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Isleham as lies between Fordham Road and Isleham Byway 18.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1104 – B1382 – A1101 – B1102 – B1104 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27 August and 29 August 2024.
Church Road, Wilburton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1119
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Road, Wilburton as lies between Fairwinds and Pools Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Pools Road – Ely Way, Haddenham – A1421 – A142 – Church Road, Wentworth – Church Road, Wilburton and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 27 August 2024.
Station Road, Lode
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1135
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Lode as lies between Lode Fen and Fairhaven Close.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate Telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs 12 August 2024.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate peatland restoration and associated works.
