What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, WORKSOP) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2024 (BS24-186)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Worksop in the District of (Bassetlaw).
The effects of the Order will be:
1. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 of this Order.
2. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in a South Westerly direction in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 of this Order.
3. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in an North Easterly direction in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 of this Order.
4. No person shall cause any vehicle to wait, load or unload (both sides at any time) in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 of this Order
5. The effects of Articles 1 to 4 shall apply for so long as and to the extent that traffic signs (authorised under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions in force on the date this Order is made) indicating the effect of the prohibition are in place.
6. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
7. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 Saturday 27th July 2024 Until 23:59 Sunday 15th September 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Sandy Lane - B6040 - B6045 - A60 and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 27th July 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable VIA EM to carry out Signal Refurbishment Scheme
