NOTICE is hereby given that an application will be made to the Magistrates’ sitting at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on the 2nd September 2024 at 2pm for an Order to stop up all public highway rights over the area of land described in the Schedule hereto. Description of Highway to be Stopped Up

The land subject to the Stopping-up is as shown crosshatched on drawing number TA247. It currently forms part of classified road number 3/98 at Whittington. On the ground, the area currently comprises part of the front garden of New Bungalow, and is grassed and situated behind a hedge and fence. It is irregular in shape and is approximately 22 metres wide from North to South, and approximately 39 metres in length from East to West, forming a total area of approximately 660 square metres.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C91 Back Lane Road from its junction with Malthouse Lane to outside the property known as ‘No.16 Back Lane’ for a total distance of approximately 30 metres.

The reason for the said closure is to relay a sunken carriageway patch.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE U40530 MARKET LANE (WINCHCOMBE TOWN) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U40530 Market Lane Road from outside the property known as ‘Condurrow’ to outside the property known as ‘Manor Farm’ for a total distance of approximately 90 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for drain connection and manhole works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on the 29th July 2024 until 17:00hrs on the 23rd August 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ON STREET PARKING ORDER 2017 (DANCEY ROAD AND CHELTENHAM ROAD EAST) (CHURCHDOWN ST. JOHNS WARD) (TEWKESBURY BOROUGH) (VARIATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing the restrictions described in the Schedule below along various roads within the Churchdown St. Johns Ward in the Borough of Tewkesbury in the County of Gloucestershire.

The 2017 Order will be varied by the attachment of plans similar to those used in this consultation and which identify the roads or sides of road to which the prohibitions and restrictions of waiting, loading and parking places affect.

This Variation shall come into operation on 1st August 2024 and may be cited as the “Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (Dancey Road And Cheltenham Road East) (Churchdown St. Johns Ward) (Tewkesbury Borough) (Variation) Order 2024” The lengths of roads fall within the Churchdown St. Johns Ward in the Borough of Tewkesbury within the County of Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles.

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 23, 32, 35, 36, 39 and Part I and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and Section 65 of the Highways Act 1980 intends:

1. To introduce three new toucan crossings as described in Schedule 1 below; and

2. To introduce No Waiting and No Stopping restrictions as described in Schedule 2 below; and

3. To make improvements to the existing A435 Evesham Road Cycle Route by upgrading parts of the existing footways by reshaping and resurfacing, introduce sections of shared use footways/cycleways by upgrading some of the existing footways and introduce new sections of segregated cycleways.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE EXTENSION OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH GNE217 (NEWENT TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily, under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath GNE/217, from a point on Southend Lane running in a generally northerly direction for a total distance of approximately 250 metres to a point south of Foley Road.

The said footpath falls within the town of Newent in the Forest of Dean District within the County of Gloucestershire.

The said closure is necessary due to a new development being constructed on land that the said footpath currently runs through.

The said Public Footpath Temporary Closure Order came into force on the 20th August 2020, and was subsequently extended until the 1st September 2024. However, the works have still not been completed and the Secretary of State has granted a further extension, until 1st March 2026, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earliest.
