What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Footpath 63, South Hanningfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 63, South Hanningfield in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Church Road to its junction with Footpath 14 South Hanningfield, its entire length approximately 332 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 05 August 2024 to 31 August 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while surface improvements are undertaken.

The alternative route will be via Church Road, Footpath 14, South Hanningfield and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 05 August 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bunny Walk Footpath/Cycle Path, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section S14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), Effect of the order: Essex County Council intends to temporarily close a length of Shared Footpath/Cycle path parallel to the River Chelmer, From its junction with Footpath 66, Chelmsford to its junction with Hill View Road, Chelmsford, in the City of Chelmsford in two phases.

Phase Description

Phase 1 From its junction with Footpath 66, Chelmsford, northwards for a distance of approximately 240 metres to its junction with Footpath 65, Chelmsford.

Phase 2 From its junction with Footpath 65, Chelmsford, north-westwards for a distance of approximately 160 metres to its junction with Hill View Road.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 August 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public while maintenance improvements are undertaken to the existing shared Footpath/Cycle Path.

Diversion routes for pedestrians and cyclists will be via Footpath 66, Chelmsford (Cyclists will be required to dismount on the footpath), Bunny Walk Brook Street, New Street, Victoria Road and vice versa. The alternative route diversion is Hill View Road, Arbour Lane and Park Lands Drive and vice versa

The Order will come into effect on 01 August 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bacons Farm Road, Great Canfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bacons Farm Road, Great Canfield in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Bacons End Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFMCV03F – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bacons Farm Road, Dunmow Road, Canfield Road, Water Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ethelred Gardens, Runwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ethelred Gardens, Runwell in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Swan Lane to its junction with Locarno Avenue a distance of approximately 560m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2366780B – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching and lining works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Locarno Avenue, Church End Avenue, Egbert Gardens, Swan Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ferrers Road, South Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ferrers Road, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Fen Roundabout for a distance of approximately 160m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st August 2024 for 1 night (19:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231011074 – TMO Highways). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while CCTV survey works are undertaken by TMO Highways.

An alternative route is available via Fen Roundabout, Burnham Road, Saltcoats Roundabout, Ferrers Road and vice versa (with access only into Ferrers Road).

The Order will come into effect on 1st August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hornells Corner, Little Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hornells Corner, Little Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 450m north east of its junction with Felstead Road for a distance of approximately 115m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30074750313 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new electricity supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Moulsham Hall Lane, Great Leighs Bypass Roundabout, Main Road, School Lane, Felsted Road and vice versa (with access only into Hornells Corner).

The Order will come into effect on 1st August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hyde Lane, Danbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 75m north west of its junction with Southwood Chase for a distance of approximately 75m in north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30022970503 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

The Order will come into effect on 1st August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Old Southend Road, Sandon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old Southend Road, Sandon in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Southend Road for a distance of approximately 250m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30003447462 – UK Power Networks).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electricity cable installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Stonehill Road, Roxwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stonehill Road, Roxwell in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with The Street to its junction with Mill Close a distance of approximately 210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30018288074 – UK Power Networks).

(Wickford Road, South Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wickford Road, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Burnham Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2024 for 2 nights (22:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010983 – CAT Surveys). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while CCTV Surveys works are undertaken by CAT Surveys.

(Willow Grove, South Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Willow Grove, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford from its junction with Fen Roundabout for a distance of approximately 90m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd August 2024 for 1 night (22:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010979 – Cat Surveys). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while utility surveying works are undertaken by Cat Surveys.

The Order will come into effect on 1st August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Willow Grove, South Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Willow Grove, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 250m north west of its junction with Fen Roundabout for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M69152A – Essex And Suffolk Water). (Barnston Road, High Easter) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Barnston Road, High Easter in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 540m north east of its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2361705 – Essex County Council). (Church Road, Ramsden Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Ramsden Heath in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 150m south east of its junction with Short Lane for a distance of approximately 750m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2364711 – Essex County Council). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Riffhams Chase, Little Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with The Ridge for a distance of approximately 160m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF6RN72D01 – Openreach). (Sandford Mill Road, Chelmer Village) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sandford Mill Road, Chelmer Village in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 115m north west of its junction with Brook End Road South for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30099327721 – UK Power Networks). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodhill Road, Sandon in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 295m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 89 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30035872186 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Penny Royal Road, Mayes Lane, Main Road, Maldon Road, Molrams Lane and vice versa (with access only into Woodhill Road).
