(Slindon: A29) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024 NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to make a temporary road closure, temporary 20 MPH Speed limit and temporary prohibition of parking on the The A29 in Slindon from its junction with the A27 to its junction with Baycombe Lane.
These restrictions are needed to allow highway surfacing works to be carried out in safely. The affected road is expected to be closed for up to three days and may be closed in sections. Dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.
The Order will come into effect on 1 August 2024 and remain in force for 18 months.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. Any queries about the effect of the Order on traffic using

(Chichester: St James Road)
(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, WSCC proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily extend the prohibition of waiting at any time on both sides of St James Road for a distance of 30 metres south of its junction with Farndell Close.
Parking and waiting is prohibited in this location to allow buses to safety drop off and pick up passengers along the kerbside. This is because traffic is being diverted whilst works are undertaken in Westhampnett Road to construct a retaining wall alongside the River Lavant.
The Order will come into operation on 12 August 2024. It is anticipated the restriction will remain in place until 4 October 2024.

(Petworth: A272 North Street)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the A272 North Street between Horsham Road and Tillington Road. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst sewer pipe repairs are made.
The Order will come into effect on 29 July 2024 and will last for 18 months. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 29 July 2024 and will take 2 weeks to complete. Any queries about the works to take place should be directed to Cappagh Brown, telephone number 03303 030368.

(East Dean, Singleton & Westhampnett:
Qata Goodwood Festival)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
(i) prohibit vehicles from travelling along Racecourse Road between East Dean Hill and Trundle Hill; and
(ii) prohibit vehicles from travelling along Pook Lane from Fordwater Road to Trundle Hill; and
(iii)to require all vehicles travelling on Kennel Hill Road/ Trundle Hill from a point 200 metres north of New Road northwards for a distance of 3.2 km and on Racecourse Road from Trundle Hill to East Dean Hill to travel at a speed not exceeding 30mph; and
(iv)to require all vehicles travelling on Kennel Hill Road from New Road northwards for a distance of 200 metres and on Racecourse Road from East Dean Hill eastwards for 300 metres and on Trundle Hill from Knights Hill northwards for 300 metres to travel at a speed not exceeding 40mph. This Order is necessary to ensure safe access and egress for pedestrians and for local residents during the Qatar Goodwood Festival 2024.
The manned road closures will in place from 0730 hours to 2030 hours daily from 30 July 2024 until 3 August 2024. The temporary speed limits will be operative from 0800 hours to 1700 hours daily from 29 July 2024 until 4 August 2024. (Singleton And West Dean: A286, Charlton Road
& Various Roads)
(20mph, 30mph And 40mph Speed Limit) Order 202* NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce:-
(i) a 20mph speed limit on lengths of the A286, Charlton Road,
Church Lane, Church Road, Cobblers Row, The Grove and The Leys, and
(ii) a 30mph speed limit on lengths of the A286 and Town Lane, and
(iii)a 40mph on a length of the A286.
Full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections.
