What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL

(COMPTON DRIVE AND HALLEN DRIVE, SEA MILLS, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 19th August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between the dates specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice).

SCHEDULE 1 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES
1. Compton Drive – from Sylvan Way northwards for 65 metres
2. Hallen Drive – from the common boundary line of No.9 and No.11 Hallen Drive to the common boundary line of No.13 and No.15 Hallen Drive

SCHEDULE 2 – DURATIONS
1. between 21st August 2024 and 6th September 2024
2. between 19th August 2024 and 2nd September 2024

SCHEDULE 3 – ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
1. Compton Drive (part unaffected), Westbury Lane, Sylvan Way and vice versa
2. Hallen Drive (part unaffected), Westbury Lane, Sylvan Way, Hallen Drive (part unaffected) and vice versa

(SEVERN ROAD, AVONMOUTH, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Severn Road which extends from a point 332 metres north west of Chittening Road north westwards, then north eastwards for 730 metres.

Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of Severn Road as specified above.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 16th August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 16th August 2024 and 20th August 2024).

northbound: Severn Road (part unaffected), Chittening Road, Smoke Lane, Rockingham Roundabout, Smoke Lane, St. Andrews Road, St. Andrews Gate Roundabout, Crowley Way, St. Brendans Roundabout, M5 Avonmouth Spur St. Brendans Roundabout to Junction 18, M5 Avonmouth Spur to M49 Link, M49 South Gloucestershire to M5 Junction 18A, M5 Junction 18A to South Gloucestershire, M5, M4, M48, Severn Road (part unaffected) southbound: Severn Road (part unaffected), M48, M4, M5, M5 South Gloucestershire to Junction 18A, M5 Junction 18A from Junction 17 Off Slip, M5 Junction 18A to Avonmouth Spur, M5 Avonmouth Spur Junction 18 to St. Brendans Roundabout, St. Brendans Roundabout, Crowley Way, St. Andrews Gate Roundabout, St. Andrews Road, Smoke Lane, Rockingham Roundabout, Smoke Lane, Chittening Road, Severn Road (part unaffected)

(PASSAGE ROAD, HENBURY, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Passage Road which extends from Fitchett Walk to its southernmost junction with Standfast Road.

Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles and pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of road as specified above.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 28th August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 28th August 2024 and 3rd October 2024).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Passage Road (part unaffected), Tormarton Crescent, Peverell Drive, Standfast Road and vice versa
