What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF C147 KINGS HEAD LANE (WITHINGTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C147 Kings Head Lane from its junction with the road from Compton Place to High Street to outside the property known as Kings Head for a distance of approximately 333 metres. The reason for the closure is for water apparatus repair works. The road is expected to be closed from 30th July 2024 until 4th August 2024 only or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closures is for Roundabout Improvement Works. The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 29th July 2024, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the works taking effect. This may permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 13th April 2025. GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ON STREET PARKING ORDER 2017 (VARIOUS ROADS, BIBURY) COTSWOLD DISTRICT) (VARIATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 36 & 39 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, the effect of which would vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing/revoking the restrictions detailed in The Schedule below on various roads in Bibury, Gloucestershire.

The 2017 Order will be varied by the attachment of plans similar to those used in this consultation and which identify the roads or sides of road to which the prohibitions and restrictions affect. This Variation shall come into operation on 1st August 2024. The lengths of roads fall within the parish of Bibury, within the Cotswold District in Gloucestershire. The usual exemptions will apply to Statutory Undertakers and Local Authority vehicles carrying out duties in exercise of their statutory powers, and also in the case of emergency services vehicles and disabled person’s vehicles. A copy of the Variation Order, the plans to be revoked, the new Sealed Plans to be inserted into the Schedule of Plans together with a copy of the Statement of Reasons and 2017 Order may be viewed at The Map Room, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG during its normal working hours or online at http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/tros (Please quote reference 5227-17). Any person wishing to question the validity of the Variation or any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or of any Statutory Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Variation may within six weeks of the date of this Variation is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
