CITY OF BRISTOL

ANGERS ROAD AND BATHWELL ROAD, WINDMILL HILL WARD
ONE WAY AND CONTRAFLOW CYCLING AND WAITING – TRAFFIC ORDERS

The City Council of Bristol hereby gives NOTICE it proposes to make the following traffic orders:-

A. Ref No. CAE/NMT/P-1293A – City Council of Bristol (Angers Road and Bathwell Road, Windmill Hill, City of Bristol) (One Way Traffic and Contraflow Cycling) Order 202-, the effect of which would be:-
(i) to extend the eastbound one way traffic working in Angers Road from Wells Road further eastwards to Access To Properties On New Walls;
(ii) to revise the on-site contraflow cycle lane facility in Angers Road
to permit contraflow cycling for pedal cycles against the one way traffic along the proposed extended length of one way traffic (from Wells Road to Access To Properties On New Walls) – this would address the anomaly between the provisions of the existing 1998 one way traffic order at this location (which provides for contraflow cycling) versus the on-site traffic signs which operate the pedal cycle facility as a designated contraflow cycle lane in practice;
(iii) to introduce eastbound one way traffic working in entire length of Bathwell Road; and
(iv) to permit contraflow cycling for pedal cycles against the one way traffic.

B. Ref No. CAE/NMT/P-1293B – City Council of Bristol (Angers Road, Windmill Hill Ward, City of Bristol) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 202-, the effect of which would be to extend the prohibition of waiting arrangements for vehicles in Angers Road from Wells Road further eastwards to Access To Properties On New Walls.
