(Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024 (Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza 2024 & 2025)
Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 11th day of July 2024, to introduce temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedules below.
The Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of July 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months.
The Order has been made to facilitate the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza and is in the interest of public safety. All closures will be signed and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.

Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles
Between the hours of 12:00 and 23:59 on Saturday 03 August 2024 and between the hours of 12:00 and 23:59 on Saturday 02 August 2025
Magdalene Street, Glastonbury (Northbound only) - From its junction with the A361 Street Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 20 metres

Between the hours of 12:00 and 23:59 on Saturday 03 August 2024 and between the hours of 12:00 and 23:59 on Saturday 02 August 2025
A361 Street Road, Glastonbury - From the junction with Magdalene Street to its junction with A39 Street Road (Street Road Roundabout)
Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
