C254 OVINGTON TO OVINGHAM
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C254 Ovington To Ovingham from its junction with the U8203 heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 400 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st August 2024 until the 1st September 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st August 2024 until the 31st August 2024 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 1st September 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C254, A69, C255 and vice-versa. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council's Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at https://one.network (enter the road number and road name). - Ref:139399376.
The closure has been requested by Tim Dalton Construction to carry out repairs to a collapsed retaining wall adjoining/encroaching the highway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
