What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B651 WHITWELL ROAD, ST PAULS WALDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B651 Whitwell Road, St Pauls Walden from its junction with Church Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 1370m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B651 (Whitwell Road/Hitchin Road) Codicote Road, Whitwell Road, B656 (Hitchin Road/London Road) and B651 Whitwell Road. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing utility poles is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SIX HILLS WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Six Hills Way, Stevenage from its junction with the Gresley Way roundabout north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 272m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, B1037 Fairlands Way, A1155 (Fairlands Way/ St Georges Way) and Six Hills Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF POUND AVENUE/PRIMROSE HILL ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pound Avenue/Primrose Hill Road, Stevenage from its junction with Stevenage Public Footpath No.092 north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m ("the length of Roads"). An alternative route will be via Pound Avenue, Letchmore Road, Haycroft Road and Primrose Hill Road.

The Order is needed because electric service connection works are proposed to be executed near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF 5U35 (UNNAMED ROAD), KINGS WALDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of 5U35 (unnamed road), Kings Walden from its junction with Frogmore Bottom Road westwards and north westwards to its junction with Miserable Lane, a distance of approximately 491m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via 5U35 (unnamed road), Lilley Bottom Lane and Miserable Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-

1. the footpath situated between No.33 and No.35 Breakspear, Stevenage from its junction with Breakspear south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Breakspear, the footway situated on the south side of Hydean Way, the footway situated on the west side of Shephall Way and the footpath situated between No.33 and No.35 Breakspear

2. the footpath situated between No.35 and No.53 Broadwater Crescent, Stevenage from its junction with Broadwater Crescent south eastwards, a distance of approximately 20m. An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Broadwater Crescent, the footway situated on the north side of Woodland Way, the footway situated on the west side of Forest Row and the footpath situated between No.35 and No.53 Broadwater Crescent.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BENINGTON ROAD, WALKERN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Benington Road, Walkern from its junction with Benington Public Bridleway No.044 north westwards for a distance of approximately 107m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Benington Road, Walkern Road, High Street, A602 (Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), Gresley Way, B1037 Stevenage Road, High Street and Benington Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH/CYCLE TRACK SITUATED BENEATH GRESLEY WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians/ pedal cycles from using the footpath/cycle track situated beneath Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Tatlers Lane north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 55m ("the Footpath/Cycle Track"). An alternative route will be via Aston Restricted Public Byway No.037, Stevenage Public Bridleway No.097, the footpath situated on the north west side of No.8 and No.9 Magellan Close, Magellan Close, Christie Road, the footpath situated on the east side of No.8 Christie Road and No.2 Chells Way, the cycle track situated beneath Gresley Way, Barham Road and the footpath/cycle track situated on the north side of No.53 Barham Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath/Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NOS.597-601 LONSDALE ROAD, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.597-601 Lonsdale Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the western boundary of No.593 Lonsdale Road westwards, a distance of approximately 35m ("the Footpath"). An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.581-593 Lonsdale Road, the footpath on the west side of Lonsdale Road, the footpath/cycle track fronting Nos.633-645 Lonsdale Road and the footpath fronting Nos.572-582 Grace Way. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Blackhorse Lane, Hitchin from its junction with B656 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Grange Close, a distance of approximately 168m ("the Road").

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Denton Road, Stevenage from its junction with Whomerley Road north eastwards to its junction with Rockingham Way, a distance of approximately 156m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Whomerley Road, Whittington Lane and Rockingham Way. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON GRESLEY WAY AND THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF GRESLEY WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following length of road ("the Road") and cycle track ("the Cycle Track") will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following length of road and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress:-

a) that length of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Magpie Crescent/ Edmonds Drive roundabout south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 1708m.

An alternative route will be via Gresley Way, A602 (Broadhall Way/Monkswood Way), Six Hills Way and Gresley Way.

2. To prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the west side of Gresley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Magpie Crescent south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 424m.

An alternative route will be via Magpie Crescent, the footpath situated on the north west side of Nos.9-25 Blackberry Mead, Dene Lane and the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.9-20 Lapwing Rise.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Cycle Track.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 August 2024 for a period of

up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times

indicated by signs on or near the Road and Cycle Track.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Wigram Way, Stevenage from its northernmost junction with The Paddocks south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Hydean Way, a distance of approximately 738m. An alternative route will be via The Paddocks, Shephall Way and Hydean Way.

2. that length of The Paddocks, Stevenage from its southernmost junction with Wigram Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Wigram Way and The Paddocks.

3. that length of Elm Walk, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Wigram Way, The Paddocks and Elm Walk.

4. that length of Randals Hill, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Wigram Way, Hydean Way, Shephall Lane and Randals Hill.

5. that length of Hyde Green, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6. that length of Mackenzie Square, Stevenage from its junction with Wigram Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of B656 Royston Road, Baldock from a point in line with the western boundary of No.14 Royston Road north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, a distance of approximately 1462m ("the Road"). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. THE HERTFORDSHIRE (HARRISON CLOSE AND WHITEHILL ROAD, HITCHIN) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Hitchin as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Thursday 15 August 2024.
