Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Randolph Street

Temporary Parking Bay Suspension

Date of Order: 22/07/2024

Coming into force: 29/07/2024

This Order is being introduced because of dwelling refurbishment and development work. The residents only parking bays on the southeastern side of Randolph Street, immediately south of Hawkins Street will be temporarily suspended for a 12-month period and waiting will be prohibited during working hours.

The works are anticipated to be completed 25 July 2025 operating between 07:30 and 17:30hrs. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exceptions are included for emergency service vehicles and for the works. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford, Magdalen Road (North) Area) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2012 as amended will be temporarily suspended. (Ref: T1140/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, A4144 (Woodstock Road)

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 05/08/2024

Coming into force: 12/08/2024

This Order is being introduced to facilitate installation of new raised tables, improved pedestrian and cycle facilities, new pedestrian crossings and traffic signal removals which is anticipated to be completed in February 2025. Much of the works will be undertaken throughout 24 hours.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding or waiting in the below junctions with the Woodstock Road:

Banbury Road Road Closure 25 November 2024 4 weeks
Leckford Road Road Closure and One Way Suspension 6 January 2025 5 weeks
Bevington Road Road Closure 6 January 2025 5 weeks

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of road. The alternative routes for traffic will be signed locally via parallel roads.

The relevant parts of the following orders are temporarily suspended for the duration of the Works in respect of removing permitted waiting and loading and suspending of one-way streets:

  • The Oxfordshire County Council (Central Area, Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2011 (as amended)

  • The Oxfordshire County Council (Summertown) (Controlled Parking Zone and Various Restrictions) Order 2023 (as amended)

  • The Oxfordshire County Council (North Summertown) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2007 (as amended)

  • The City of Oxford (Jericho) (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2000 (as amended)

  • The Oxfordshire County Council (Walton Manor, Oxford) (Parking Places and Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 (as amended)

  • Any other Order which permits parking will be temporarily suspended for the duration of this Order.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T1141/AC)
