Dorset - Temporary Road and Footway Closures due to Utility Works.
What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Ringwood Road and Footway Between Broomfield Drive and Ringwood Road, Alderholt
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5th August 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 6th September 2024.
This Order will enable Global Utility Connections, safe access to carry out electrical supply and connection works.
The effect of the Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on; Ringwood Road, Alderholt as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a temporary footway closure on; Footway between Broomfield Drive and Ringwood Road, Alderholt as indicated by signs on site.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

JAN BRITTON, Executive Lead for Place - Dorset Council, County Hall, Dorchester DT1 1XJ. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
Temporary Traffic Management Order of Various Roads, Wimborne Minster
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5th August 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30th August 2024
This Order will enable SGN, safe access to carry out gas main replacement works.
The effect of the Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary westbound road closure on; Hanham Road, Wimborne Minster from its junction with Allenview Road to its junction with West Borough as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a temporary road closure on; East Borough, Wimborne Minster between its junction with Hanham Road and 13 East Borough as indicated by signs on site.
[iii] To revoke the prohibition order on; East Borough to allow temporary two-way access from West Borough whilst the closure at its junction with Hanham Road is in place as indicated by signs on site.
[iv] To impose a temporary suspension of the loading bay outside Purbeck House, West Borough as indicated by signs on site to temporarily accommodate buses.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
