What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(LONG DALMAHOY ROAD AREA, BALERNO) (TEMPORARY
ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION)
ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/88
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be
that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway
strengthening works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or
permit to be driven any vehicle on: (i) Gowanhill Farm Rd, at
its jnct with Long Dalmahoy Rd; (ii) Long Dalmahoy Rd, from
Curriehill Rd to Haggs Farm Rd; (iii) Ravelrig Rd, at its jnct
with Long Dalmahoy Rd; & (iv) Warriston Farm Rd, at the
north-western boundary of Long Dalmahoy Rd; & (b) except
with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit
any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle
at any time on both sides of: (i) Curriehill Rd, from the centre
line of Long Dalmahoy Rd, north-westwards & southeastwards for 50m respectively; (ii) Haggs Farm Rd, from
the centre line of Long Dalmahoy Rd, generally northwards
& southwards for 50m respectively; & (iii) Long Dalmahoy
Rd, from Curriehill Rd to Haggs Farm Rd. The alternative
routes for vehicular traffic are via: (i) Gowanhill Farm Rd –
access maintained via Newmills Rd; (ii) Long Dalmahoy Rd
– Haggs Farm Rd, A71 & Curriehill Rd; (iii) Ravelrig Rd –
access maintained via Lanark Rd West. The following road has
no available diversion: Warriston Farm Rd. The order shall
have effect from 29/7/24 to 22/9/24
