Beechwood Gardens (D1406) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beechwood Gardens (D1406) Caterham which extends from its junction with Beechwood Road (D1406) to its junction with Croydon Road (B2208).

Alternative Route – Beechwood Road (D1406) and Croydon Road (B2208) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 05 August 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Norbury Road (D1203) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Norbury Road (D1203) Reigate which extends from its junction with the southeast property boundary line of “no. 2A Norbury Road” to the northwest property boundary line of “no. 5 Norbury Road”.

Alternative Route – No diversion route available.

This Order is required to allow SES Water to carry out water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 05 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Various Roads in Beare Green and Capel
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C52 Horsham Road (part of which is also known as Hoyle Hill), C52 Seaman’s Green Road, C52 The Street and C52 Wolves Hill, Beare Green and Capel.

This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks and/or ALS Civil Engineers Limited to make a new electrical connection and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works in C52 Horsham Road, Beare Green between D298 Wigmore Lane and Randall Close.

These works are anticipated to be carried out within 12 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2024: between the hours of 7am to 7pm on weekdays, 8am to 5pm on Saturday, and 9:30am to 1pm on Sunday.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the 

alternative route: – C52 Horsham Road, A24 Beare Green Roundabout, A24 Capel By-Pass, A24 Clarks Green Roundabout, C52 Wolves Hill, C52 The Street, C52 Seaman’s Green Road and C52 Horsham Road.

Saxbys Lane (D409) Lingfield
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of Saxbys Lane from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.60 and No.62 Saxbys Lane to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.96 and No.98 Saxbys Lane.

This Temporary Order is required to facilitate safety works for, or on behalf of Walker Construction Ltd.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 49 weeks, between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday only, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 08 August 2024.

This temporary restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Woodroyd Avenue (D555) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodroyd Avenue (D555) Horley which extends from its junction with A23 Brighton Road to the property boundary line between Nos.1 and 2 Woodroyd Avenue.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 month, between 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Due to the nature of the works, vehicular access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will not be maintained.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Alternative Route – Woodroyd Avenue, Oldfield Road, Wolverton Gardens and A23 Brighton Road or vice versa

Worsted Green (D1169) Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Worsted Green (D1169) Merstham which extends from its junction with Bletchingley Road to its junction with Sunstone Grove.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling, carriageway treatment and major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed between 7am and 5pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Alternative Route – D1169 Taynton Drive, D1169 Sunstone Grove, D1169 Weldon Way and C69 Bletchingley Road.

Horley Row (D336) and Brighton Road (A23) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in (a) that length of the westbound carriageway of Horley Road (D336) Horley as extends from its junction with (A23) Brighton Road to its junction with (D561) Chequers Drive; and (b) the entire length of the dedicated left hand turn lane into (D336) Horley Row.

Alternative Route – A23 Brighton Road; Vicarage Lane; Lee Street; and Horley Row.

The Order is required to facilitate new mains electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks.

These works are anticipated to be carried over 4 weeks between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the works area and all vehicles including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.

Various Roads in Lingfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Ray Lane (B2029) Lingfield as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Ray Lodge House” to its junction with (C87) Lingfield Common Road and (B2029) Godstone Road; (b) Godstone Road (B2029) Lingfield as extends from its junction with (C87 Lingfield Common Road and (B2029) Ray Lane to its junction with the access to the properties known as “Rome Farm”, “Rome Farm Barn” and “Rome Farm Cottage”; Alternative Route – Ray Lane; The Common; A22 Eastbourne Road; Newchapel Road; and Godstone Road or this same route in reverse; and (c) Lingfield Common Road (C87) Lingfield as extends from its junction with (B2029) Ray Lane and (B2029) Godstone Road to its junction with (D826) Ray Close.

Alternative Routes – (1) Lingfield Common Road; Crowhurst Road; Crowhurst Village Road; Crowhurst Lane; Crowhurst Lane End; Tandridge Lane; and Ray Lane, and (2) Lingfield Common Road; Crowhurst Road; Crowhurst Village Road; Crowhurst Lane; Crowhurst Lane End; Tandridge Lane; The Common; A22 Eastbourne Road; New Chapel Rad; and Godstone Road.

The Order is required to facilitate new mains gas connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice.

These works are anticipated to be carried over 4 weeks between the hours of 7am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for residents within the closure area, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion routes.

Eastlands Way (D441) and Lankester Square (X10007) Oxted
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Eastlands Way (D441) and Lankester Square (X10007) Oxted which extends from; (a) the northeastern property boundary line of “no. 11 Eastlands Way” to the southeastern property boundary line of “no. 5 Eastlands Way” and (b) the northwestern property boundary line of “no. 1 Lankester Square” to its junction with Eastlands Way (D441).

Alternative Route – Gordons Way (D441), Central Way (D441), Chalkpit Wood (D441) and Eastlands Way (D441).

This Order is required to allow TSE Group to carry out maintenance work, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 August 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Little Bookham Street (D2525) Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Little Bookham Street (D2525) Bookham as extends from its junction with (D2525) The Blackburn to its junction with (D2569) Sole Farm Road; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: Little Bookham Street, Lower Road, Church Road, and Little Bookham Street, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 August 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

High Street (B269) Limpsfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of High Street (B269) Limpsfield. Alternative Route: (B2025) Detillens Lane and (A25) Westerham Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of new gas connection works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 August 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Various in Mole Valley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway patching and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

1. that length of C62 Horley Road and C62 Charlwood Road, Charlwood which extends from its junction with C62 Reigate Road to its junction with C57 The Street.

Alternative Route – C62 Reigate Road, A217 Reigate Road, A217 Dovers Green Road, C223 Prices Lane, C223 Sandcross Lane, C223 Slipshatch Road, C223 Clayhall Road, C58 Flanchford Road, C57 Tapners Road, C57 Smalls Hill Road, C57 Norwood Hill Road and C57 The Street or vice versa;

2. the entire length of D2599 Kingston Avenue, Leatherhead.

Alternative Route – D2545 Copthorne Road, A245 By-Pass Road and A245 Kingston Road or vice versa; 3. that length of D2600 St Johns Avenue, Leatherhead which extends from its junction with D2545 Copthorne Road to its junction with D2600 Upper Fairfield Road.

Alternative Route – D2545 Copthorne Road, A245 By-Pass Road, A245 Kingston Road, D2629 Park Rise (not suitable for HGV) and D2600 Upper Fairfield Road or vice versa;

4. the entire length of D2613 Woodfield Lane, Ashtead. Alternative Route – A24 The Street, A24 Epsom Road and D2507 Craddocks Avenue or vice versa; 5. the entire length of D308 Wellhouse Lane, Brockham/Strood Green.

Alternative Route – C57 Snowerhill Road, D306 Gadbrook Road and C54 Middle Street or vice versa; 6. that length of D289 Abinger Road, Leith Hill which extends from its junction with C43 Leith Hill Lane to its junction with D296 Broomehall Road.

Alternative Route – C43 Leith Hill Lane, B2126 Ockley Road, B2126 Forest Green Road, A29 Stane Street, A29 Beare Green Road and D296 Broomehall Road or vice versa; 7. that length of D306 Brockhamhurst Road, Betchworth which extends from its junction with from its junction with Leigh Road to its junction with Roothill Lane.

Alternative Route – D306 Red Lane, D301 Blackbrook Road, D300 Mill Road, A24 Horsham Road, C53 Newdigate Road, C53 Trig Street, C53 Kingsland, C59 Village Street, C59 Parkgate Road, C59 Broad Lane, C54 Shellwood Road and C54 Leigh Road or vice versa.

Townpath – Racecourse Road (T10057) Dormansland
Public Footpath No.385 (Dormansland)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians and/or other traffic proceeding on foot or by any means from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Public Footpath No.385 (Dormansland), otherwise known as Townpath – Racecourse Road (T10057) Dormansland.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 weeks, as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of access to any premises will be affected.

There is no diversion route available for the above closure.

Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in; (a) the length of roads described in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Redhill (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) (No.2) Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (6) of the schedule of this Order.

This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement and/or maintenance for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route.

During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Schedule

(1) the entire length of Willow Brean (D1093) Horley.

Alternative Route: Landen Park, Meath Green Lane, Parkhurst Road, Witherdale, Chesters, and Westleas, or this route in reverse.

(2) that length of Westleas (D1093) Horley as extends from its junction with Willow Brean and for a distance of 16 metres in a south westerly direction.

Alternative Route: Landen Park, Meath Green Lane, Parkhurst Road, Witherdale, Chesters, and Westleas, or this route in reverse.

(3) the entire length of Station Road (D1174) Merstham. There is no alternative route for this closure.

(4) that length of Brighton Road Service Road for 70 to 92 and Shopping Parade (D350) Horley as extends from its junction with (A23) Brighton Road to its junction with (A23) Brighton Road.

Alternative Route: (A23) Brighton Road.

(5) the entire length of Oakwood Road (D352) Horley.

Alternative Route: Yattendon Road, High Street, Albert Road, Consort Way, Victoria Road, and (A23) Brighton Road, or this route in reverse. 

(6) the entire length of Tollgate Avenue (D1291) Redhill.

Alternative Route: (A2044) Woodhatch Road, Hanworth Road, and (A23) Horley Road, or this route in reverse. 

(7) that length of Ringley Park Road (D2147) Reigate as extends from its junction with (A25) Reigate Road to its junction with (B2034) Blackborough Road. Alternative Route: (A25) Reigate Road, (B2034) Hatchlands, and (B2034) Blackborough Road, or this route in reverse.
