WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING
(COMPTON ROAD, EAST ILSLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Compton Road in the Parish of East Ilsley between its junction with Broad Street and its junction with Sunrise Hill. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via (Clockwise) Cow Lane, Unnamed Road from Ilsley Road to Newbury Hill, Newbury Hill, Unnamed Road from B4009 to Bothampstead, Unnamed Road from B4009 Four Elms to Worlds End, Oxford Rd, onto A34, exit at East Ilsley slip road
onto Fidlers Lane. Anti-Clockwise – via High St onto A34, from then on, the above route reversed. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out mains
renewals and disconnection works. The proposed Order will come into effect on 5th August 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 5th and 30th August 2024.
(STATION ROAD, LAMBOURN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Station Road in Lambourn between its junction with Bockhampton Road and its junction with St Agnes Terrace. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Bockhampton Road, Newbury Road, Newbury Street, Station Road and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Openreach safe access to underground structure to provide new customer service. The proposed Order will come into effect on 7th August 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 09:30 and 15:30 hours on 7th August 2024.
(BAUGHURST ROAD (A340), ALDERMASTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Baughurst Road (A340) in the Parish of Aldermaston between its junction with Baughurst Road (non A340 section) and its junction with A340 Aldermaston Road/Baughurst Road Roundabout.
The alternative route for non-HGV vehicles affected by the Order is via Aldermaston Rd, Burghfield Rd, Reading Rd, Red La, Church Rd and vice versa.
The alternative route for HGV vehicles affected by the Order is via Aldermaston Rd, Burghfield Rd, Reading Rd, Burghfield Rd, Bath Road (A4) and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on
or near the highway, namely for Thames Water carry out maintenance and repair works. The proposed Order will come into effect on 5th August 2024.
It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 5th and 14th August 2024.
Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
