What is happening?

CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL

TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER (30 MPH AND 40 MPH SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2024 PTRO788 C825 Whitchurch Road, Handley

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce:

(i) a 30 mph speed limit on C825 Whitchurch Road, from a point 325 metres north-west of its junction with Aldersey Lane, to a point 30 metres south-east of its junction with Aldersey Lane, a distance of approximately 360 metres in south-easterly direction;

(ii) a 40 mph speed limit on C825 Whitchurch Road, from its southern junction with A41 Handley By-Pass, to a point 30 metres south-east of its junction with Aldersey Lane, a distance of approximately 410 metres in north-westerly direction; and

(iii) a 40 mph speed limit on C825 Whitchurch Road, from its northern junction with A41 Handley By-Pass, to a point 325 metres north-west of its junction with Aldersey Lane, a distance of approximately 340 metres in south-easterly direction.

All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 16th August 2024 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Any representations relating to the Order should specify the title of the Order and may become available for public inspection.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO17553 Cheyney Road in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester City & the Garden Quarter Ward to enable Junction and Traffic Signal Improvement Works to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council. Cheyney Road: 24 HOUR ROAD CLOSURE Monday 29th July - Sunday 18th August 2024 - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes. The Order will come into force on 29th July 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via Parkgate Road, Blacon Avenue Roundabout, Deva Link, Greyhound Park Roundabout, Saughall Road, Cheyney Road

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO7950 Meadow Lane in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable new connection works to be carried out by Severn Trent Water. Meadow Lane - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 19th July 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 4 weeks to complete. Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via Butterbache Road, Woodlands Road, Chester Road, Meadow Lane

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO7956 Leighton Road in Neston

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Neston to enable utility works to be carried out by Scottish Power Renewable Energy. Leighton Road - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes.

A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 1st August 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 8 days to complete. Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via Leighton Road, Park Street, Liverpool Road, Footway Front Of 33 To 50 Mayfield Gardens, Chester High Road, Boathouse Lane
