Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily close the section of Public Footpath CL24/105 from its junction with Public Footpath CL24/100 at grid reference ST68195392 in a generally ESE direction for approx 68m to its junction with Public Footpath CL24/102 at ST68255389.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way; namely New Leaf Studio Ltd acting on behalf of Westfield Parish Council are proposing works to replace the existing footbridge at Waterside/ Snails Brook which is in poor condition. The Order will come into force on 19th August 2024 and will be effective for 6 weeks. The restriction may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for two weeks. The closure will only be effective during the period when signs stating ‘Footpath Closed’ are in place on site.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE – Alternative permissive path will be signed locally. Vice Versa.
