on-street parking charges
Notice is given that with effect from the 19th August 2024 charges payable for parking at all locations specified in this Notice will be varied.
Harbour Drive North Car Park; Harbour Drive South Car and Coach Park; Marsden Lea Car and Coach Park; Pier Head Car and Coach Park; Pier Parade Car and Coach Park; South Promenade North Car Park; South Promenade South Car Park; The Dragon Car Park; The Dragon Car Park (Extension to Car Park); Trow Quarry Car Park, South Shields and Whitburn Bents Car Park, Whitburn.
Current Charges:
Mon to Sun inc. 8.00am to 8.00pm. £0.05 per 5 mins (min stay 10 mins/10p) for the 1st hour and £1.20 per hour thereafter. £6.00 all day.
Amended Charges:
Mon to Sun inc. 8.00am to 8.00pm £1.20 per hour. £6.00 all day.
Sea Road North, South Shields, the northeast side from a point 209m southeast of its junction with Beach Rd in a south eastwards direction for a distance of 79m.
Sea Road South, South Shields the northeast side from a point 376m southeast of its junction with Beach Rd in a south eastwards direction for a distance of 81m.

Beach Road East, South Shields, the northwest side from a point 30m southwest of its junction with Sea Rd in a south westwards direction for a distance of 35m and from a point 85m southwest of its junction with Sea Rd in a south westwards direction for a distance of 120m.
Beach Road East, South Shields, the southeast side from a point 25m northeast of its junction with Bents Park Rd in a north eastwards direction to a point 56m southwest of its junction with Sea Rd.
