What is happening?

Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1101

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge as lies between numbers 51 and 110.

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Hills Road On its west side from a point 13 metres north of its junction with Brooklands Avenue to a point 70 metres south of its junction with Bateman Street is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 28 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 27 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28 August and 3 September 2024.

Nosterfield End, Shudy Camps (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1104

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Nosterfield End, Shudy Camps as lies between Burton End and Haverhill Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Haverhill Road – Haverhill Road, Castle Camps – High Street – Park Lane – Drapers Green, Helions Bumpstead – Camps Road – Church Hill – Mill Road – Haverhill Road – Wiggens Green – Copy Hill – Helions Bumpstead Road, Haverhill – A1017 – Burton End and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully cleaning and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 28 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 27 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28 August and 29 August 2024.

Tenison Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1111

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Tenison Road, Cambridge as lies between numbers 42 and 74.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Mill Road – Mawson Road – Wilkin Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 28 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 27 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28 August and 30 August 2024.

Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1112

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge as lies between numbers 301 and 307.

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area G (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Hills Road On its east side from its junction with Long Road to its junction with Addenbrookes roundabout is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate various utility connections and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 3 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 August and 11 August 2024.

Church Street, Gamlingay (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1114

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Gamlingay as lies between the B1040 and Stocks Lane.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Street (C179) – Church End – Long Lane – Fullers Hill – Fullers Hill Little Gransden – B1046 – Waresley Road, Great Gransden – Waresley Road, Waresley – B1040 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 20 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20 August and 23 August 2024.

Fen Road, Milton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1117

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fen Road, Milton as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 17 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 16 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 09:00hrs 17 August 2024.

Buchan Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1120

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Buchan Street, Cambridge as lies between number 1 and Callander Close.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Buchan Street.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 August and 16 August 2024.

Cambridge Footpath 1, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1122

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambridge Footpath 1, Cambridge as lies between St Bedes Gardens and Brookfields.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footpath upgrade and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 February 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 17:00hrs 27 August to 6 September 2024.

West Wickham Road, Balsham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1125

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Wickham Road, Balsham as lies between number 39 and The Orchard.

The alternative route for vehicles is via West Wickham Road – B1052 – High Street, West Wratting – The Common – Burton End – Burton End, West Wickham – High Street – High Street Southern Spur – Balsham Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 29 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 28 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 28 August 2024.

Common Road, West Wratting (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1127

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Common Road, West Wratting as lies between number 21 and High Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via High Street – B1052 – Mill Hill, Weston Colville – The Green – Common Road (C238) – Common Road, West Wratting – Skippers Lane – The Common and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical upgrade and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 August to 23 August 2024.

Bar Lane, Stapleford (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1128

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bar Lane, Stapleford as lies between Bar Close and Forge End.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Bar Lane – Bury Road – Haverhill Road – Gog Magog Way and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 26 August and 31 August 2024.

Drummer Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1129

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Drummer Street, Cambridge as lies between Emmanuel Street and Parker Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Parker Street – Parkside – A603 – Trumpington Street – Pembroke Street – Downing Street and vice versa The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 7 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:30hrs and 05:00hrs 7 August to 8 November 2024.

Teversham Road, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1130

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Teversham Road, Fulbourn as lies between Hinton Road and Brunswick Court.

The alternative route for vehicles is via High Street, Teversham – Church Road – Airport Way – Cherry Hinton Road (C233) – Gazelle Way – Yarrow Road – Yarrow Road, Fulbourn – Cambridge Road – Hinton Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 16 August 2024.

Park Lane, Castle Camps (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1138

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Park Lane, Castle Camps as lies between number 4 and Long Cottage.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Drapers Green, Helions Bumpstead – Camps Road – Water Lane – Water Lane, Hempstead – B1054 – B1057 – A1017 – A1307 – Bartlow Road, Linton – Camps Road, Bartlow – Bartlow Road, Castle Camps and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs and 18:00hrs 14 August to 18 August 2024.

Grange Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1140

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Grange Road, Cambridge as lies between number 56a and Cambridge Footpath 58.

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 84) Order 2000, Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Grange Road On both sides from its junction with Herschel Road to its junction with Madingley Road is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical duct laying and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 26 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Grange Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 26 August and 30 August 2024.

Ditton Lane, Fen Ditton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1141

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ditton Lane, Fen Ditton as lies between Fison Road and High Ditch Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1047 – A1303 – A14 – A10 – A14 – B1047 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tree removal and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs and 19:00hrs 3 August to 8 September (Weekends Only).

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Devonshire Road, Cambridge as lies between Angus Close and Mill Road.
