What is happening?

Transport for London PUBLIC NOTICE:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE A406 GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (LONDON BOROUGHS OF ENFIELD AND WALTHAM FOREST) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2024

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 17th July 2024 it made the above named Order, under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 29th July 2024.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order would be to impose a speed limit of 40 MPH speed limit on the A406 North Circular, Sterling Way, Angel Road and Southend Road between Bowes Road and a point 130 metres south of Cabinet Way including the on and off slip roads from/ to Great Cambridge Road, Fore Street, Montagu Road and Hall Lane.

3. The roads which would be affected by the Order are GLA Main Roads and all GLA Side Roads - Red Route returns of these roads in the London Boroughs of Enfield and Waltham Forest as listed in article 2 above.

4. The roads affected are currently subject to a permanent speed limit of 50 MPH.

5. A copy of the Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. 6. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
