What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Station Road and Long Drove, Holme

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1014

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road and Long Drove, Holme as lies between 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B660 – Glatton Lane, Glatton – B1043 – A15 – B1091 – A15 – A1260 – A1139 – A605 – B1095 – B1040 – B660 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 February 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 23:45hrs 3 August and 08:15hrs 4 August 2024.

Abbots Ripton Bridleway 20, Abbots Ripton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1024

Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian and equestrian from proceeding along Abbots Ripton Bridleway 20, Abbots Ripton as lies 20m either side of the railway bridge.

The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 February 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs and 15:00hrs 9 August 2024.

Grafham Road, Brampton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1035

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Graham Road, Brampton as lies between points 20m either side of the railway bridge.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Graham Road – Park Road – Thrapston C167 – High Street – B1514 – A1 – B661 – Buckden Road, Graham – Brampton Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate rail bridge repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 10 August and 12 August 2024.

Warboys Road, Bury

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1036

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Warboys Road, Bury as lies between Cromwell Kennels and Hall Farm.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040 – B1096 – Forty Foot Bank, Ramsey Forty Foot – Forty Foot Bank, Benwick – Forty Foot Bank, Doddington – Forty Foot Bank, Chatteris – B1093 – A141 – B1040 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished on or on the 12 August 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 August and 12 August 2024.

New Street, St Neots

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1043

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Street, St Neots as lies between W & H Peacock and High Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1428 – B1043 – Mill Lane – B1041 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19:00hrs and 06:00hrs 19 August to 23 August 2024.

Kings Ripton Road, Sapley

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1051

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Kings Ripton Road, Sapley as lies between Sapley Park Farms and Jubilee Park.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A141 – B1090 – Sapley Road, Kings Ripton and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main, fire hydrant and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20 August and 22 August 2024.

Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1058

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside as lies between number 233 and Marriotts Drove.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Oilmills Road, Pondersbridge – B1040 – Stocking Fen Road, Ramsey – Muchwood Lane – Bodsey Toll Road – Oilmills Road, Ramsey Mereside and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main connection and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 9 August 2024.

Constable Road, St Ives

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1096

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Constable Road, St Ives as lies between Reynolds Close and Rubens Way.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Constable Road – Marley Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole cover, frame repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 22 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 21 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 17:00hrs 22 August 2024.

Waresley Road, Great Gransden

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1080

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Waresley Road, Great Gransden as lies between Eltisley Road and Meadow Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046 – B1040 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully cleaning, tree maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 20 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 15:00hrs 20 August to 23 August 2024.

Market Hill and The Pavement, St Ives

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1082

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Market Hill and The Pavement, St Ives as lies between United Reform Church and Thomas Morris; Di Ritas and M & Co respectively.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lining and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:00hrs and 16:00hrs 27 August to 29 August 2024.

High Street, Somersham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1103

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Somersham as lies between The Cross and Foflees.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1086 – B1050 – Huntingdon Road, Chatteris – A141 – B1040 – B1089 – B1086 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main, connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 January 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 August and 4 August 2024.

Chapel Lane and Birt Lane, St Ives

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1106

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chapel Lane and Birt Lane, St Ives as lies between Gateway House and Chapel Court.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Market Lane – The Pavement – Market Road – Cromwell Place – The Quadrant – East Street – Globe Place – North Road – Ramsey Road – The Waits – The Broadway – Crown Street – Bridge Street – and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 August and 8 August 2024.

Mill Lane (B1041), Little Paxton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1126

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Lane (B1041), Little Paxton as lies between Mill Lane and Skipper Way.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1041 – A1 – B1048 – B1428 – B1041 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate bridge gate inspection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs to 19:00hrs 12 August 2024.

Puddock Road, Warboys

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC, TEMPORARY 40MPH AND 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024-1142

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Puddock Road, Warboys as lies between New Road and Fenside Road.

There shall be in force when 40mph and 30mph signs are erected at either end of the road lengths of road or are erected over varying lengths of this road affected by the works when approaching or passing such works and at any time when temporary traffic signs are in progress properly suspended.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A141 – A1123 – A141 – New Road – Fenton Road – Straight Drove – Puddock Road, Warboys.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical reconnections and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:00hrs and 18:00hrs 6 August 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 VARIOUS ROADS, WEST DIVISION (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) & (TEMPORARY 40MPH AND 10MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024-1097

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedules 1 and 2.

The alternative routes are shown in Schedule 1.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway Maintenance and associated works.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 August 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 31 January 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedules. The Order will be effective for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along various footpaths as set out in Schedule 1 below.

Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate footpath resurfacing and the associated works.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Access will be maintained to premises affected by this order.

The above Orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used for Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
