ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Henley-on-Thames, Vicarage Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 05/08/2024 Coming into force: 12/08/2024

This Order is being introduced because of essential gas replacement works that is anticipated to take 22 days to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in the section of Vicarage Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Traffic will be diverted via Vicarage Road - Western Avenue - Harpsden Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14091/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Kennington, The Avenue Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting Date of Order: 15/07/2024 Coming into force: 26/07/2024

This Order is being introduced because of the resurfacing of the carriageway between St Swithuns Road and Bagley Wood Road which is anticipated to be completed 2 August 2024. Works will operate between 20:00 and 06:00 hours weekday overnight.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding or waiting in part of The Avenue. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Kennington Road, Radley Road, Twelve Acre Drive, A4183, A34, A423, Kennington Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13650/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Denchworth, Denchworth Road & Newlands Drive Temporary Prohibition of Waiting and No Parking Date of Order: 22/07/2024 Coming into force: 30/07/2024

This Order is being introduced to allow construction traffic sufficient space when travelling to and from Monks Farm construction site works which are anticipated to be completed 01 January 2026. This will operate Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit Waiting/ Parking on Denchworth Road between Cotton Close and Newlands Drive, and Newlands Drive between Bereton Drive and Shepherds Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the prohibition is in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14028/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

East Lockinge to West Ginge Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 05/08/2024

Coming into force: 12/08/2024

This Order is being introduced because of bridge repair works which are anticipated to be completed 22 August 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of the unnamed road between East Lockinge and West Ginge. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the unnamed road towards Ginge, Ginge Road, The Greenway, Reading Road, A417, unnamed road towards East Lockinge and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14158/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Buscot, Footpath Number 150/18/10 Date of Order: 22/07/2024 Coming into force: 30/07/2024 This Order continues in force an emergency closure by Notice on 10 July 2024 introduced because of damaged bridge.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the section of the footpath number 150/18/10 carried by Bloomers Hole river Bridge east of Lechlade Road. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to property which is only accessible from the closed section of footpath. The alternative route will be signed locally. Works for repairs are to be added to the capital finance program and the completion date cannot yet be estimated. The order may be extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport. (Ref: T14314/AC)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) & (2)

Notice of Temporary Footpath Closure

Henley-on-Thames, Marsh Lock (Footbridge between Marsh Lock & Horsebridge) Date of Order: 22/07/2024 Coming into force: 28/07/2024

This order continues in force a footpath closure by emergency notice on 8 July 2024 for public safety reasons because the bridge is unsafe to use and requires repairs. The work is added to the capital program where funding has to be prioritised and may not be completed until January 2026.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the footbridge between Marsh Lock & Horsebridge at RG9 4HB. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works. The diversion is via the Thames path to Mill Lane, Henley and following the alternative route shown on the attached plan rejoining the Thames path near Lower Shiplake Station. This Order will remain in force initially for 6 months and may be extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport. (Ref: T14305(EM)/MR)

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (ASTON TIRROLD AND ASTON UPTHORPE PARISHES) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that on 22 July 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 29 July extends the 20mph speed limit within Aston Tirrold & Aston Upthorpe, replacing the same length of existing 60mph National speed limit as follows: Moreton Road - extends the existing 20mph speed limit terminal from a point 185 metres northeast of its junction with Fullers Road/The Croft, further out of the village to a point 280 metres northeast of its junction with Alisons Lane.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 is revoked/replaced.

(NORTH & SOUTH MORETON PARISHES) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that on 22 July 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 29 July introduces a 20mph speed limit within North Moreton, replacing the majority of the 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:

1. Dunsomer Hill - a point 315 metres south of Bear Lane,

2. Long Wittenham Road - a point 167 metres north of Queens Way,

3. Wallingford Road - a point 580 metres north of Elm Road.

A length of 30mph speed limit is retained as a 'buffer' limit on Dunsomer Hill at the southern approach to the village with Officers having taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account.

The Oxfordshire County Council (North & South Moreton Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 is revoked/replaced. (FRILFORD, FYFIELD AND TUBNEY AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit in Fyfield village, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in the process, leading out to the following points:

1. Digging Lane - a point 36 metres north of its junction with the A420 Oxford-Swindon Road,

2. Netherton Lane - a point 60 metres south of its junction with the unnamed road between Appleton & Longworth.

Additionally, a small 36 metre section of 50mph speed limit is proposed on Digging Lane, in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit between the proposed 20mph speed limit at the southern end of the village, and its junction with the A420 (which is currently 50mph). The Oxfordshire County Council (Frilford, Fyfield and Tubney Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2024 will be revoked/ replaced as necessary.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 16 August 2024.
