HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE RIDINGS, MARKYATE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Ridings, Markyate from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.1 The Ridings south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LONGLANDS, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Longlands, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Sawyers Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 37m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Longlands, Broadfield Road, Windmill Lane and Longlands.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WOOD END LANE, MARKYATE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wood End Lane, Markyate from its junction with Trowley Bottom south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Puddephats Lane, a distance of approximately 2006m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Trowley Bottom and Puddephats Lane. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PICCOTTS END, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Piccotts End, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Hemel Hempstead Public Footpath No.015 north westwards for a distance of approximately 28m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Piccotts End, A4147 Link Road, B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Piccotts End Road and Piccotts End. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DURRANTS HILL ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Durrants Hill Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point 35m south west of its junction with Frogmore Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Durrants Hill Road, Lawn Lane, A414 (Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way), A4251 London Road and Durrants Hill Road. The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREAT ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Great Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Adeyfield Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Adeyfield Road, High Street Green, Ellingham Road and Great Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B487 QUEENSWAY AND ALLANDALE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1.               that length of B487 Queensway, Hemel Hempstead from a point 40m south west of its junction with Allandale north eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m.

An alternative route will be via B487 Queensway, A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4147 (Link Road/Redbourn Road) and B487 Queensway.

2.               that length of Allandale, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with B487 Queensway north westwards to its junction with Slippers Hill, a distance of approximately 47m.

An alternative route will be via B487 Queensway, Figtree Hill, George Street and Allandale or via B487 Queensway, Cattsdell, Randalls Ride and Allandale.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.33 AND NO.35 SOUTH PARK GARDENS, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.33 and No.35 South Park Gardens, Berkhamsted from its junction with South Park Gardens south westwards to its junction with Park Street, a distance of approximately 228m (“the Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north and east sides of South Park Gardens, the footway situated on the south side of Bridgewater Road, the footway on the east side of Billet Lane, the footway on the north side of A4251 (Gossoms End/High Street) and the footway situated on the west side of Park Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HUDNALL LANE, LITTLE GADDESDEN AND RED LION LANE, GREAT GADDESDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):

1. that length of Hudnall Lane, Little Gaddesden from its junction with Nettleden Road North, north eastwards to its junction with B440 Dagnall Road, a distance of approximately 1837m.

An alternative route will be via Nettleden Road North, Nettleden Road and B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Dagnall Road).

2. that length of Red Lion Lane, Great Gaddesden from its junction with B440 Leighton Buzzard Road north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Gaddesden Row, a distance of approximately 2928m.

An alternative route will be via B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Dagnall Road), Pedley Hill, Clements End Road, South Dene and Gaddesden Row. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BIRCH LANE, FLAUNDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Birch Lane, Flaunden from its junction with Black Ditch Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Black Ditch Lane, Black Robins Lane and Birch Lane.

The Order is needed because foul water sewer connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, TRING, NORTHCHURCH AND BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of roads whilst works are in progress:

1. that length of Wheelers Lane, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.18 Wheelers Lane north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 195m.

An alternative route will be via Wheelers Lane, St Albans Hill, Lawn Lane, Deaconsfield Road and Wheelers Lane.

2. that length of Jarman Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wheelers Lane north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 75m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Jennings Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wheelers Lane north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 148m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4.  that length of Park Road, Tring from its junction with Hastoe Lane south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with B4635 Aylesbury Road, a distance of approximately 719m. An alternative route will be via Park Road, Akeman Street and B4635 (High Street/Western Road/Aylesbury Road).

5. that length of Chapel Street, Tring from its junction with Park Road north westwards to its junction with B4635 Western Road, a distance of approximately 117m.

An alternative route will be via Park Road and B4635 (Aylesbury Road/ Western Road).

6.  that length of Chambersbury Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northend north eastwards to its junction with Bedmond Road, a distance of approximately 584m.

An alternative route will be via Northend, Peascroft Road, Bennetts End Road, A414 St Albans Road, A4147 (Leverstock Green Way/Leverstock Green Road) and Bedmond Road.

7.  that length of Chambersbury Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northend south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Bunkers Lane, a distance of approximately 1886m.

An alternative route will be via Chambersbury Lane, Bedmond Road and Bunkers Lane.

8.  that length of Northend, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Chambersbury Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 57m.

An alternative route will be via Chambersbury Lane, Bedmond Road, A4147 (Leverstock Green Road/Leverstock Green Way), A414 St Albans Road, Bennetts End Road, Peascroft Road and Northend.

9.  that length of Bell Lane, Northchurch from its junction with Shootersway north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Westfield Road, a distance of approximately 737m.

An alternative route will be via Shootersway, Durrants Lane and Westfield Road.

10.  that length of Shootersway, Berkhamsted from its junction with Durrants Lane north westwards to its junction with Darrs Lane, a distance of approximately 497 m.

An alternative route will be via Durrants Lane, Westfield Road, Granville Road and Darrs Lane.

11.  that length of Westfield Road, Northchurch from its junction with Bell Lane south eastwards to its junction with Durrants Lane, a distance of approximately 407 m.

An alternative route will be via Bell Lane, Shootersway and Durrants Lane.

12. that length of Jupiter Drive, Hemel Hempstead from its southernmost junction with B487 Queensway north westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 781 m.

An alternative route will be via B487 Queensway.

13. that length of Lockers Park Lane/Cotterells Hill, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bury Hill south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Collett Road, a distance of approximately 770 m.

An alternative route will be via Bury Hill, Lockers Park Lane, Warners End Road, A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Cotterells and Cotterells Hill.

14.  that length of Heath Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lockers Park Lane south eastwards to its junction with Cemetery Hill, a distance of approximately 104 m.

An alternative route will be via Cotterells Hill, South Hill Road and Cemetery Hill.

15. that length of Glenview Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Lockers Park Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 45 m.

An alternative route will be via Lockers Park Lane, Melsted Road, Sunnyhill Road and Glenview Road.

16. that length of Parkhill Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with

Lockers Park Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 70 m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

17. that length of Rumballs Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Peascroft Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Barnacres Road, a distance of approximately 430 m.

An alternative route will be via Peascroft Road and Barnacres Road.

18. that length of Winchdells, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Rumballs Road westwards for a distance of approximately 21 m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. THE HERTFORDSHIRE (DENNYS LANE AND OAKWOOD, BERKHAMSTED)

(30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a 30 mph speed limit in parts of Berkhamsted as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 5 August 2024.

PEDESTRIAN CROSSING NOTICE

(MORELLO DRIVE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Hemel Hempstead as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

It is also proposed under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to construct a parallel pedestrian crossing facility on that length of Morello Drive, Hemel Hempstead as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 24 July 2024 during office hours, at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Dacorum and looking at Ref: D01124.
