Surrey County Council has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Frimley Green Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.

The proposed works are: works to extend the highway limit being a requirement of the planning permission to redevelop the former Princess Royal Barracks site in Deepcut, Surrey to mitigate the impact of additional traffic generated by that development. The proposed works comprise the relocation of the existing footway and verge at Frimley Green Common and the extension of the kerb-line, such works taking place over an area of 400 square metres.

The works will be located on land adjacent to Wharf Road, Frimley Green Road, Sturt Road and Guildford Road.

A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at the offices of Surrey Heath Borough Council, Surrey Heath House, Knoll Road, Camberley, Surrey GU15 3HD during normal office hours until Friday 20 September 2024.
