1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham ("the Council") on 22 July 2024 made the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Disabled Resident Parking Places Orders and the Disabled Persons Permit Parking Places Order will be to designate disabled resident parking places for use only by persons who are resident within the Canning Town North, East Ham, East Ham South East, Forest Gate North, Green Street North, Little llford, Manor Park, Market Street, Monega, Prince Regent, Stratford, Stratford South East and Upton Park Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), who meet the current criteria for the provision of parking places for disabled persons and who have been issued disabled resident parking permits for their vehicles. Certain other vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, e.g., to load or unload goods or pick up or set down passengers.

3. A single disabled resident parking place will be designated at each of the locations listed below. (NOTE - at locations where an 'overlap' is also stated the proposed parking place will overlap the frontage of the adjacent property numbers by up to 1 metres-

Canning Town North Controlled Parking Zone - No. 7 Baron Walk E16;

East Ham Controlled Parking Zone - No. 114 Lathom Road E6 (overlaps No. 112) and No. 32 Lincoln Road E7 (overlaps No. 34);

East Ham South East Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 57 to 71 Mountfield Road E6;

Forest Gate North Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 94 & 96 Godwin Road E7;

Green Street North Controlled Parking Zone - No. 19 Sherrard Road E7 (overlaps No. 21);

Little llford Controlled Parking Zone - Aldersbrook Lane E12 (the north-west side,

opposite the rear of No. 1007 Romford Road), No. 25 Colchester Avenue E12 (overlaps No. 27)

and No. 72 Morris Avenue E12 (overlaps No. 70);

Manor Park Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 18 & 20 Cumberland Road E12;

Market Street Controlled Parking Zone - Opposite Nos. 1 to 11 Melbourne Road E6;

Monega Controlled Parking Zone - No. 144 South Esk Road E7 (overlaps No. 146);

Prince Regent Controlled Parking Zone - No. 5 Kent Street E13 and No. 80 Jenkins Road E13;

Stratford Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 85 & 86 Chatsworth Road E15

and No. 52 Maryland Street E15;

Stratford South East Controlled Parking Zone - No. 118 Harcourt Road E15; and Upton Park Controlled Parking Zone - No. 96 Churston Avenue E13 (overlaps No. 98) and No. 16 Waterloo Road E6 (overlaps No. 18).

4. Existing single disabled resident parking places will be extended by 0.8 metres at each of the locations listed below:

Market Street Controlled Parking Zone - No. 36 Kimberley Avenue E6 (extended to overlap No. 34); and Upton Park Controlled Parking Zone - No. 81 Gwendoline Avenue E13 (extended to overlap No. 79).

5. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 29 July 2024 and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.

6. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
