Netherwood Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For Water Mains Replacement Works

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
(NETHERWOOD ROAD) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate water mains replacement works; it will make an Order the effect of which will temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in a section of Netherwood Road, Westwick Gardens, Rockley Road, Minford Gardens and Richmond Way.

2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in:

a) Westwick Gardens from the junction with Netherwood Road to the junction with Shepherds Bush Road

b) Netherwood Road, from the junction with Shepherds Bush Road to the junction with Richmond Way

c) Minford Gardens, from the junction with Richmond Way to the junction with Rockley Road

d) Richmond Way, from the junction with Charecroft Way to the junction with Netherwood Road

e) Rockley Road, from the junction with Anley Road to the junction with Netherwood Road.

3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 would be provided via Shepherd’s Bush Road, Anley Road, Rockley Road, Lakeside Road, Richmond Way and Charecroft Way.

4. Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

5. The Order will come into operation on the 29th July 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

6. Works will be expected to commence on Monday 29th July 2024 and last untill the 23rd December 2024. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
