Lower Bourne and Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Orders
What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Frensham Road (A287) Lower Bourne which extends from its junction with D5300 Burnt Hill Road, northwards for a distance of 50m. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway re-surfacing, improvement works and major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 nights, between 8pm and 6am, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Alternative Route – A287 Frensham Road/Farnham Road/Churt Road (part of which is known as Crossways)/Tilford Road, A333 Portsmouth Road, A3 Portsmouth Road (part of which is known as Hindhead Tunnel Road)/Milford By-Pass/Guildford-Godalming By-Pass, A31 Hogs Back/Runfold Diversion/Farnham By-Pass, B3001 Station Hill, C28 Tilford Road, C122 Great Austins, C122 Old Farnham Lane and A287 Frensham Road.
Edward Road (D5313) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Edward Road (D5313) Farnham. Alternative Route: (B3384) Ridgway Road, (B3384) Shortheath Road, Ford Lane, and Aveley Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility replacement works for, or on behalf of South East Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 9am and 5pm, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Farnham By-pass (A31) and South Street (B3001) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2024
On 24 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: (a) the entire length of the left-hand turn only lane of Farnham By-pass (A31) Farnham at its junction with (B3001) South Street; (b) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in that length of South Street (B3001) Farnham as extends from its junction with (A31) Farnham By-pass to its junction with (A287) Union Road from travelling in any direction other than south-eastwards; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in The Borough of Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5)” insofar as it affects that length of road in Part (b) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (A31) Farnham By-pass, (A31) Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, (B3228) Guildford Road, (B3228) East Street, (B3228) Dogflud Way, (B3228) East Street, and (A287) South Street.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibitions and suspension, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Weybourne Road (B3007) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Weybourne Road (B3007) Farnham which extends between its junction with Monkton Lane and its junction with Holbrook Close. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing an pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed between 7am and 5pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
