What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 1, CREETING ST PETER

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing Footpath 1, Creeling St Peter from 20 metres northeast of the junction with Mill Lane for 436 metres north eastbound to facilitate construction of cycleway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be available on site.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/08/2024 - 02/02/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3211 EDMONTON ROAD, KESGRAVE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3211 Edmonton Road, Kesgrave from Edmonton Close to Carlton Road to facilitate the installation of a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Edmonton Road, Main Road, Cambridge Road, Orchard Grove and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2024 -26/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2832 MILL STREET, WESTLETON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2832 Mill Street, Westleton from the B1125 to Mill Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be the B1125, Bakers Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2024 -24/07/2024 from 9am - 4.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months tor longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1070 THE STREET, RAYDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1070 The Street, Raydon from Densal Westies to adjacent Dedham Lodge to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1070, the A12, the A1214, the A1071, the B1070 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2024 -24/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C640 SPALDINGS CHAIR HILL, THE C636 SPALDINGS CHAIR HILL AND THE C640 RUSHFORD ROAD. RUSHFORD, EUSTON AND CONEY WESTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads to facilitate carriageway patching prior to surface dressing:

  • the C640 Spaldings Chair Hill, Rushford from Euston Road, Rushford to Spaldings Chair Hill, Euston
  • the C636 Spaldings Chair Hill, Euston
  • the C640 Rushford Road, Coney Weston from Spaldings Hill Chair to Norwich Lane.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Park Road, Coney Weston, Heath Road, Coney Weston Road, Bardwell Road, Sapiston, Sapiston Road, Honington, the A1088, The Street, Rushford Road, Euston, Euston Road, Rushford and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/08/2024 -08/08/2024 from 8am until 5pm with a further closure scheduled for surface dressing. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1113 FINNINGHAM ROAD, OLD NEWTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1113 Finningham Road, Old Newton from 20 metres north of the Old Newton Village Shop and Post Office for 35 metres southbound to facilitate installing a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also lake place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Finningham Road, Old Newton Road, Cow Green Broad Road, Station Road, Walsham Road, Rickinghall Road, Finningham Road, Diss Road, the A143, the U5422 to the C580, Bury Road, Old Bury Road, Stuston Bypass, Norwich Road, Ipswich Road, iheA1120westoftheA140. Forward Green, Stowmarket Road, Stowupland Road, Newton Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2024 -26/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highways Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5916 WEST STREET, RICKINGHALL INFERIOR

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5916 West Street, Rickinghall Inferior from the junction with Briar Lane for 1000 metres southbound to facilitate the installation of new track and cable for fibre works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Briar Lane, the A143, the B1113, Walsham Road, West Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/08/2024 -19/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Firstcall Traffic Management. Tel: 01707 244593.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 44, EAST BERGHOLT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 44 East Bergholt from 629 metres east of the junction with Footpath 49 for 56 metres eastbound for safety reasons due to surface damage. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. The diversion route will be Footpath 44, Footpath 33, Footpath 32, Flatford Road to the Field Centre, across Slip Way, Footpath 44 and vice versa

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 03/07/2024.

It is intended that the closure will operate until 02/01/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk County Council

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7318 WATER LAND AND TOP GREEN, STRADISHALL AND DENSTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads to facilitate carriageway patching:

  • the U7318 Water Lane, Stradishall
  • the U7318 Water Lane, Denston
  • the U7318 Top Green, Denston from Water Lane to Lower Green.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be the A143, wickham Street Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2024 -24/07/2024 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4416 TYE LANE, BRAMFORD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4416 Tye Lane, Bramford from Somersham Road for 60 metres westbound to facilitate renewing a telephone pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Tye Lane, Somersham Road, Main Road, Leather Bottle Hill, Somersham Road, Loraine Way and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 01/08/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE B1113 NEEDHAM ROAD, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the B1113 Needham Road, Stowmarket from the A1120 Roundabout for 898 metres north eastbound and from 616 metres north westbound from Bradley Walk for 898 metres north westbound to facilitate safety during installation of a new telecoms cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 23/07/2024 -25/07/2024 from 9pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C449 BILDESTON ROAD, COMBS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C449 Bildeston Road, Combs from Combs Footpath 001 to Combs Footpath 085 to facilitate electrical works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Bildeston Road, Straight Road, Deadmans Lane, Moats Tye, Tannery Road, Park Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2024 -24/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2417 BUCKLESWOOD LANE, THEBERTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2417 Buckleswood Lane, Theberton from the B1119 for 50 metres northbound to facilitate survey works relating to the level crossing upgrade. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Abbey Lane, the B1121, the B1119 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate in the following phases:

  • 23/07/2024
  • 02/09/2024-05/09/2024.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C408 SAXHAM STREET, STOWUPLAND

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C408 Saxham Street, Stowupland from Oak Cottage for 30 metres northbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1113, the B1115, the A1120 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 01/08/2024 from 8am - 2pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.
