What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTWAY 8, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footway 8, Felixstowe from no. 10 Windermere Road to Kingsfleet Primary School to facilitate gas main replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be via:

Windermere Road, Western Avenue, Keswick Close, Tam Hows Close, Tam Hows Close, Howlett Way, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 02/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3637 OLD BREDFIELD ROAD, UFFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3637 Old Bredfield Road, Ufford from No. 2 Parklands for 130 metres westbound to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Old Bredfield Road, Yarmouth Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 26/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3630 BREDFIELD STREET, WOODBRIDGE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3630 Bredfield Street, Woodbridge from the junction with Castle Street to the junction with Theatre Street to facilitate fibre installation works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Castle Street, St. Johns Hill, New Street, Theatre Street, Angel Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 26/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C328 BEALINGS ROAD, MARTLESHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C328 Bealings Road, Martlesham from Bealings Hall for 30 metres southbound to facilitate tree cutting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Main Road, Hall Road, Martlesham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 24/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C433 LOWER ROAD, ONEHOUSE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. C433 Lower Road, Onehouse from the Public House for 520 metres west westbound

  2. C433 Lower Road, Onehouse from The Cedar House for 380 metres north eastbound.

    This is to facilitate duct works for telecommunication service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion route will be Lower Road, Finborough Road, Onehouse Road, Union Road, Stowmarket Lane, Forest Road, Haughley Road, Shelland Road, Shelland Green, The Heath, Heath Road, Church Street, Green Road, The Green, Rattlesden Road, Woolpit Road, Stoneheart Road and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 26/07/2024 from 7pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C559 NORTON ROAD THURSTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C559 Norton Road, Thurston from the junction with Pakenham Road to the junction with Meadow Lane to facilitate utility connection to the new development. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Ixworth Road, The Street, Fen Road, Bull Road, the A1088 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 04/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1302 TAYFEN ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1302 Tayfen Road, Bury St Edmunds from Station Hill to the junction with Station Hill to facilitate installation of sewage and water pipes. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A143, the A1302, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 05/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1122 STATION ROAD, LEISTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1122 Station Road, Leiston from the junction with High Street Road to the junction with Buller Road to facilitate surveying the level crossing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route for vehicles will be the B1121, the B1119 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  1. 22/07/2024 - 27/07/2024

  2. 28/07/2024 - 03/08/2024

    It is intended that the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

    TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE B1084 SUDBOURNE ROAD, ORFORD

    Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 40 mph speed restriction on the B1084 Sudbourne Road, Orford from the junction with Hospital Road to the junction with Mill Broadway to facilitate fibre installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    It is intended that this measure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 09/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

    TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8517 SCOTLAND STREET, STOKE BY NAYLAND

    Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8517 Scotland Street, Stoke by Nayland from Scotland Barn to The Laurels to facilitate electrical and overhead cables works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion route will be the B1068, Rectory Hill, Mill Street, Martens Lane, Scotland Street and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/07/2024 - 13/09/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
