What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(High Street, Winslow) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2024 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in High Street for approx. 55M. Alternative route: High Street, Vicarage Road, Burleys Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Decoration and repair to external wall of the George Public House on the Horn Street elevation commences on 5 August 2024. The proposed Order will come into operation on 5 August 2024, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

Public Footpath No.2, Parish of Stoke Mandeville (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No. 2/2 & 2/3 Parish of Stoke Mandeville, which commences at the level crossing and continues either side of the level crossing for the length of approximately 35M. The closure is required to allow for works to proceed in connection with the approved South East Aylesbury Link Road (bridge construction over the railway). The alternative route whilst the closure is effective is via existing highway and Public Bridleway No.1, parish of Stoke Mandeville. The proposed Order will come into operation on 5th August 2024 assigned, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

(Public Footpath No.42 (Part) Parish of Wendover) Public Path Diversion Order 2024 made on 10 July 2024, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside

Act 1981, will divert the public footpath running from SP89942-07512 NE for 63m to SP89989-07557 then E for 107m to SP90096-07561 as shown by a bold continuous line on the Order map, to a line running from SP89942-07512 ENE for 11m to SP89953-07516 then ENE for 149m to SP90096-07561 as shown by a bold broken line on the Order map and having a width of 3m throughout and a pedestrian gate (BS5709) at SP89953-07516. Full details of the Order are available at Reception, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA and at Wendover Community Library during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from the Council at a cost of £5.00 by writing to the Definitive Map and Highway Searches Team at the address given below. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing stating the grounds on which they are made to the Definitive Map and Highway Searches Team, 6th Floor,

Buckinghamshire Council, Walton Street Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UA or email row@buckinghamshire.gov.uk by no later than 21 August 2024. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 this Council is obliged to make any representations received in response to this notice open to public inspection.
