Norfolk, Multiple Roads, Prohibition Of Waiting & Bus Gate

What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (HORSFORD, MEMORIAL ROAD AND FLAG CUTTERS WAY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND BUS GATE) ORDER 2024

The Norfolk County Council has made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 15th July 2024, which comes into operation on 20th July 2024 and the effect of which is to:-

(1) to create a Bus only lane/gate at the section of land between the cul-de-sac ends of Memorial Road and Flag Cutters Way marked in accordance with diagram 1048.5 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016; and

(2) to add double yellow lines to create a prohibition of waiting at all times along the following lengths of road:-

i) 51642/10 Memorial Road (All Sides): from a point 26 metres north of the centre line of its junction with 51644/10 Harvey Close for a distance of 16 metres north up to and including its cul-de-sac end; and

ii) 5P321/12 Flag Cutlers Way (All Sides): from a point 64 metres north of the centre line of its junction with 51644/10 Harvey Close for a distance of 16 metres south up to and including its cul-de-sac end. A copy of the Order and a plan may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/. Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of Broadland District Council, The Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0WF, during normal office hours. However, in-office staffing levels may have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 15th July 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
