Croft Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Installtion Works

What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 CROFT ROAD, HURWORTH

Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

CROFT ROAD

From the west side of Elmfield Road junction westwards to a point approximately 30metres east of Rockliffe Court junction

An alternative route will be signed via West End, Roundhill Road, Neasham Road, A66, A167, Hurworth Road and vice versa.

Access to the Grange Community Centre will be maintained.

The Order is necessary to allow works to install speed humps a pedestrian crossing and road surfacing.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 12th August 2024, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 3 weeks.
