Somerset - Multiple Road Closures
What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:
Temporary Road Closures:
MD45/0724 - SD007881 - Bishops Park Way, East Somerset Way & Long Street in the parish of St Cuthbert Out. Joint West of Thompson Road to Joint by Gateway East for Bishops Park Way to Constitution Hill junction. A distance of 2250 metres.
MD46/0724 - SD007885 - Fosse Way in the parish of Lydford-on-Fosse. Joint by Garage to West Lane junction. A distance of 540 metres.
MD47/0724 - SD007886 - Fosse Way in the parish of Lydford-on-Fosse. West Lane junction to Fair Place junction. A distance of 732 metres.
MD48/0724 - SD007887 - Fosse Way in the parish of Lydford-on-Fosse. Fair Place Junction to Joint outside Fosse House Farm. A distance of 530 metres.
MD49/0724 - SD007882 - Dallimore Lane to Slait Hill in the parish of Cranmore. Resurfacing joint near Cranmore Cottages to Slait Hill junction. A distance of 280 metres.
MD50/0724 - SD007884 - Slait Hill to Haygrove Lane in the parish of Cranmore. Slait Hill junction to No Right Turn Sign just before Quarry Entrance. A distance of 1380 metres.
MD51/0724 - SD007883 - Haygrove Lane to Nunny Catch Roundabout in the parish of Wanstrow. East side of junction to Horn Street to rear of centre island at Nunny Catch Roundabout. A distance of 1260 metres.
This Order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out phased preparation works and surface dressing works. The Order becomes effective on 1st August 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The phased works are expected to commence any time after 1st August 2024. The works will be for One Day within the stated period and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place.

The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements. Advanced warning signs will be installed 10 days prior to the commencement of works for each closure.
