Thackerys Lane And Various Roads - Vehicles Are Prohibited From Waiting, Loading And Unloading

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(THACKERYS LANE AND VARIOUS ROADS, ARNOLD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (G24-091)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Arnold in the Borough of Gedling.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Thackerys Lane, Arnold - From its junction with Calstock Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 250 metres.
b. Worcester Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane to its junction with Wadham Road
c. Arno Vale Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane to its junction with Saville road.
d. Wensley Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane for a distance of 50 metres
e. Breck Hill Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane to its junction with Raibank Gardens

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (Both sides) (at any time) in the following length of road
a. Thackerys Lane, Arnold - From its junction with Calstock Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 250 metres.
b. Worcester Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane to its junction with Wadham Road
c. Arno Vale Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane to its junction with Saville road.
d. Wensley Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane for a distance of 50 metres
e. Breck Hill Road, Arnold - From its junction with Thackerys Lane to its junction with Raibank Gardens

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 22:00 Hours, Monday 22nd July 2024
Until 06:00 Hours, Saturday 10th August 2024 (Nightly). AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

A60 Mansfield Road- Woodthorpe Drive - Plains Road - Gedling Road - Hallams Lane

The Order will come into force on Monday 22nd July 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
