Lea Road / Jeffock Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic
What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (LEA ROAD/JEFFCOCK ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road: l Lea Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Lyndhurst Road and Copthorne Road. l Lea Road closed one way, in a south-western direction, between its junction with Copthorne Road/ Jeffcock Road and its junction with Stubbs Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Stubbs Road, Penn Road and vice versa. l Jeffcock Road to operate one way in a north-western direction for its entire length, from its junction with Lea Road to its junction with Bradmore Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Bradmore Road and Birches Barn Road. The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 31 July 2024 until 2 August 2024. The Order is required to facilitate remedial carriageway reinstatement works by Severn Trent Water.
