What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

SWALE AREA

 

Doddington Lane, Sittingbourne.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Doddington Lane, Sittingbourne, on or after 30th July 2024, for up to 2 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Park Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via The Street, Doddington Lane, The Street, Faversham Road, A2 London Road, A2 Ospringe Street, A2 London Road, A2 Canterbury Road, A251 Ashford Road, Broomfield Lane, Faversham Road, A252 Charing Hill, A2 Maidstone Road, A20 Ashford Road, Faversham Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Featherbed Lane, Selling, ME13 9QJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Featherbed Lane, Selling, on or after 30th July 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Whitehill Oast, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Featherbed Lane, Selling Road, Owens Court Lane, Winding Hill, Featherbed Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Priory Row, Faversham, ME13 7HQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow gas replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Priory Row, Faversham, on or after 12th August 2024, for up to 19 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Davington Primary School, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Oare Road, Davington Hill, Dark Hill, Bysing Wood Road, B2045 Western Link, The Street, Priory Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Ruins Barn Road, Tunstall, ME9 8AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Ruins Barn Road, Tunstall, on or after 29th July 2024, with estimated completion by 30th July 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Oakwood Farm Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Broadoak Road, Bottom Pond Road, Bexon Lane, Ruins Barn Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Throwley Road, Throwley (known locally as Bagshill Road).​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Throwley Road, Throwley (known locally as Bagshill Road), on or after 12th August 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Haywards Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Parsonage Stocks Road, Wilgate Green Road, Throwley Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tickham Lane, Lynsted, ME9 0HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tickham Lane, Lynsted, on or after 2nd August 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with Nouds Lane and the junction with Mill Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Norton Road, Homestall Road, Tickham Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

UFTON LANE, ADDINGTON ROAD & ALBANY ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE. (SUSPENSION OF PARKING BAYS AND REVERSAL OF ONE-WAY ORDER) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024

To allow safe travel for construction vehicles, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend parking bays and reverse a one-way Order on Ufton Lane, Addington Road & Albany Road, Sittingbourne, on or after 31st July 2024, with estimated completion by 20 September 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The one-way Order on Addington Road will be temporarily reversed between the junctions with Park Road and Albany Road, to allow for access.

Various parking bays will be suspended along Ufton Lane, Addington Road and Albany Road, as indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wildmarsh Road, Luddenham, ME13 0TJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024

To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wildmarsh Road, Luddenham, on or after 29th July 2024, with estimated completion by 30th July 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Wildmarsh Farm House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Luddenham Hill, Bysing Wood Road, Lower Road, Elverton Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
