Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

GRAVESHAM AREA

 

Forge Lane, Higham, ME3 7AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a sewer connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Higham, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 55.

The alternative route is via Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, Villa Road, School Lane, Hermitage Road and vice versa.

 

Melliker Lane, Meopham, DA13 0JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Melliker Lane, Meopham, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Home Acre.

The alternative route is via Melliker Lane, B260 Longfield Road, A227 Wrotham Road and vice versa.

 

Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, ME3 7DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pear Tree Lane, Shorne, on or after 12th August 2024 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A226 Gravesend Road.

The alternative route is via Tanyard Hill, The Street, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road and vice versa.

 

Thames Way, Northfleet, DA11 0EG (PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Virgin Media works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit traffic turning left into A226 Thames Way from Thames Way, Northfleet, on or after 29th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The alternative route is via A226 Overcliff, A226 New Road, A226 Bath Street, A226 West Street, A226 Crooked Lane, A226 The Terrace, A226 Harmer Street, A226 Berkley Crescent, A226 Milton Road, A226 Parrock Street, Lord Street, A226 Windmill Street, Woodville Place, A227 Wrotham Road, A226 Darnley Road, A226 Rathmore Road, A226 New Road, A226 Overcliff, A226 Thames Way and vice versa.
