What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF 500898 BACK LANE (AMPNEY CRUCIS PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500898 Back Lane from outside 'No. 17' to outside the property known as 'Holly Cottage', for a distance of approximately 57 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for new electrical supply works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 22nd July 2024 until 9th August 2024 only or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Alternative Route - as signed on site. Pedestrian access to adjacent properties, and emergency access, will be maintained.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C191 DANEWAY LANE (SAPPERTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C191 Daneway Lane from its junction with Dane Lane to its junction with Daneway Lane to Crown Inn Frampton Mansell Road for a distance of approximately 675 metres. The reason for the closure is to carry out Openreach Pole Replacement works. The road is expected to be closed between the hours of 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 9th August 2024 only or until the works have been completed. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS PUBLIC FOOTPATHS (FAIRFORD AND KEMPSFORD PARISHES) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of various Public Footpaths as defined in the Schedule below:

SCHEDULE

Public Footpath BKD 35 in the Parish of Kempsford is to be closed temporarily from its junction with the Whelford Road extending in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approximately 210 metres and then carrying on along BFA 32 in the Parish of Fairford for a further 1100 metres in a north westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath BFA 31 Public Footpath BFA 30 in the Parish of Fairford is to be closed temporarily from its junction with Public Footpath BFA 32 extending in a generally northerly direction for a distance of approximately 500 metres and then in a westerly direction for a further 700 metres to its junction with Public Footpath BFA 33 The footpaths fall within the Parishes of Fairford and Kempsford in the Cotswold District, in the County of Gloucestershire. The closure is necessary in the interest of public safety during construction works.

This Temporary Order came into force on the 22nd March 2021 for a period of six months. Works had not been completed within the six months and the Order was subsequently extended by the Secretary of State for Transport until 22nd September 2024. However, works have still not been completed and a further extension has now been granted until 22nd March 2026, or until the works are complete whichever is the earlier. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF 400957 CHURCH STREET (MEYSEY HAMPTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400957 Church Street from its junction with High Street to outside the property known as ' Villars Farm', for a distance of approximately 33 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for sewer repair works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 22nd July 2024 until 5th August 2024 only or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATHS BKD/34 AND BKD/28 KEMPSFORD COTSWOLD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpaths BKD/34 and BKD/28 as described in the Schedule below.

The closure is necessary to allow for construction works.

This temporary closure Order came into force on the 1st March 2018 for a period of six months and as works were not completed in the allowed time subsequently extended by the Secretary of State for Transport to 1st September 2024, However, works have still not completed, and the Secretary of State has now granted a further extension until 1st March 2026 or until the works are complete whichever is earliest.

The alternative route runs from Whelford Road to Footpath number BKD/27 and is marked on site.

Pedestrian access to properties and emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the works.

The Schedule

Public Footpath BKD/34 in the Parish of Kempsford is to be temporarily closed from its junction with Whelford Road and running in a generally southerly direction for approximately 621 metres to a point where it meets the RAF Fairford Boundary Fence.

Public Footpath BKD/28 in the Parish of Kempsford is to be temporarily closed from its junction with Public Footpath BKD/34 and running in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 602 metres to its junction with Public Footpath BKD/27.
